Mission Assurance Manager

Your Impact:Rapid Solutions is looking for a Mission Assurance Manager to lead and support Quality & Mission Excellence across IAD Division and will report to division Director. Develop and implement Quality assurance processes by collaborating with the customer and internal teams to ensure overall success of projects and/or missions.

Duties: Spearhead the Mission Assurance initiative across ground, airborne, and space programs, ensuring the required standards of quality and reliability defined by the customers. Collaborate on new business opportunities, providing critical Mission Assurance input during both project capture and execution phases. Support identify and manage risks associated with division programs, employing strategic mitigation strategies to ensure project success.

Provide visionary leadership to instill a pervasive quality culture across division programs and projects. Foster strategic relationships with customers, ensuring the seamless delivery of hardware and services that meet and exceed quality expectations. Lead systematic problem-solving efforts, driving to the root causes of issues and implementing corrective actions in response to non-conformities, lead material review (MRB) board activities.

Ensure strict compliance with industry standards and regulations, upholding the highest quality and safety protocols. Utilize quality tools such as 5 Whys, fishbone diagrams, six sigma tools, and statistical process controls (SPC) to address issues systematically and drive continuous improvement. Play a pivotal role in developing MA processes by crafting procedures, work instructions, and process flow diagrams, and conduct assessments of process and machine capabilities.

Support Configuration Management of key projects deliverables including project management plans (PMP), manufacturing & MA documents etc. Guide project managers in the development and maintenance of PMPs, risk, opportunity registers, and other essential project documentation. Actively support Design Reviews throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring alignment with and fulfillment of customer requirements.

Collaborate closely with the manufacturing team to deliver robust Mission Assurance support, facilitating the seamless industrialization of products. Serve as a liaison between internal teams (engineering, testing, reliability, RITF, manufacturing, purchasing) and customers, effectively communicating and cascading customer requirements. Act as a meticulous quality gatekeeper, reviewing submissions to and from customers for accuracy and adherence to quality standards.

Provide support for AS9100 activities, ensuring the organization's ongoing commitment to quality management. Assure the quality of received components by closely partnering with Receiving Inspection Test Facility (RITF) to maintain rigorous quality control measure. 18) Understanding and knowledge of Parts, Materials, and Processes for Airborne & Space programs including Tier Levels from NASA and Aerospace documents. Act as leader for internal PMPCB, ERB, MRB, and non-conformances meetings with experience and knowledge of all of the risks to programs associated with each board type.

Here's what you'll need: Bachelor's Degree in an engineering or technical field. 10-20 years of technical mission assurance or quality management. Experience with ground, airborne or space ISR systems.

Familiarity with ISO9001 and AS9100. Ability to obtain a TS-SCI security clearance. Must be onsite to support programs and projects.

Preferred: Masters degree in management or a technical field. Active TS-SCI security clearance.
