We are seeking a Missile System Integration and Test Senior Manager to lead the system integration and test engineering functional support for the Strategic Missiles and Defense (SMD) line of business.

Summary of Key Duties for this position:

  • Staffing and hiring of leaders and individual contributors

  • Functional and technical support to the various deployed teams as needed

  • Identifying and driving common processes and initiatives across the functional span of control

  • Driving LM Space, SMD LOB and Operations/ATLO strategy

  • Owns performance assessments and other employee related process execution

This position is badged to the ATLO organization and is aligned to the SMD Chief Engineer to ensure tight coordination of test engineering staffing, process and initiatives within the SMD program teams. As the functional leader, this position will engage with other ATLO site leadership and program leaders to enable successful program execution. Travel to locations/sites is required on an occasionally or frequently as the situation requires.

The location for this position may be one of the three main east coast sites supporting SMD; Valley Forge PA, Huntsville Alabama or the Florida Space Coast (Titusville, KSC, CCAFS). Relocation is not necessary if the preferred candidate is in one of these sites. Otherwise, relocation to Denver, Colorado will be considered for the selected candidate.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field or related discipline with 2+ years in a formal leadership role; or equivalent experience/combined education

  • Test engineering experience in System/Subsystem/Component

  • Demonstrated verbal/written experience communication/briefing managers, employees and customers to maintain a sustainable working relationship

  • Demonstrated capability in leading change across teams

  • Ability to obtain and maintain secret security clearance (current or previous clearance that can be reinstituted is preferred)

Desired Skills:

  • Experience with aspects of missile integration and testing including sustainment and support

  • Knowledge/experience in missile programs including development and production testing

  • Knowledge/experience as a Certified Test Conductor and program

  • Knowledge/experience with Test Engineering CIPS

  • Knowledge/experience with digital transformation tools including Automation Framework

  • Willing to perform periodic travel to the multiple sites

Coordinates and synchronizes range and asset availability, test planning, execution, and reporting. Provides technical expertise in testing and weapons system integration; writes test procedures and develops test plans for various types of testing, including user, integration, performance and live fire testing. Leads integrated product and process teams to ensure test completion is on time, within budget, and according to test objectives. Coordinates with stakeholders across the Services and industry. Supports customer needs and travels as required. Leads and motivates others to accomplish test goals. Exercises strong written and oral communication, and multi-tasks with strong attention to detail and excellent follow-through skills.
