Missile Defense Senior Subject Matter Expert (SME), Strategic Missile Defense Requirements Development
The Missile Defense Senior Subject Matter Expert supports the U.S. Army Space and Missile Defense Command's Army Capabilities Manager for Strategic Missile Defense (ACM SMD). The SME analyzes, develops, and implements the Army Ballistic Missile Defense (BMD) Force Management doctrine, organization, training, materiel, leadership and education, personnel, and facilities (DOTMLPF) products.
Assist the ACM-SMD in the analysis, development, and implementation of Army BMD Force Management DOTMLPF products, to support the development, fielding, and sustainment of BMDS Elements, Materiel Developer plans, and warfighter strategic plans and operations.
Conduct requirements crosswalk to various Program Manager's specification requirements documents.
Provide SME expertise for element preliminary and integrated baseline reviews, critical design reviews, system functional reviews, weapon system reviews, and initial technology reviews.
Develop and update JCIDS documents including ICD, CDD, CPD, and DOTMLPF Change Requests.
Provide subject matter expertise for all Army and Joint Boards and Councils including AROC, JROC, JCB, FCB, and Defense Acquisition Boards.
Support Army requirements during element level Cost as an Independent Variable (CAIV) trade-off analysis.
Strong DOD missile defense background at operational and strategic levels.
Working knowledge of MDA Acquisition processes
Master's degree (Maybe offset with additional experience)
12 years of direct strategic missile defense experience
Recent, relevant experience with:
Army Force Development processes and Joint Capabilities Integration Development System (JCIDS) process.
Coordination with Program Managers, Combatant Commands, and MDA Staff Elements
Recent, relevant experience with acquisition logistics, sustainment logistics, and performance-based logistics processes.
Army Air Defense background (Desired)
TS Security Clearance required
