The PEI Summer Internship Program is designed to create an opportunity for college students to have meaningful work experiences that tie to their programs of study. The program is a 10-week paid internship. Students must be available to intern from June 5 - August 18, 2023. Students in the program will actively contribute to their team's success, learn about the company and obtain new skills through learning opportunities and networking events.
INTERN QUALIFICATIONS:
Must be a minimum Junior in college and graduating the following year, pursuing a degree in: Business Administration, Information Technology, Computer Science, Innovation, Management Information Systems (MIS) and/or comparable from an accredited university.
Minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 GPA scale.
Interests in IT, infrastructure, engineering, and modern end user technologies
Quick learner with new software or computer applications
Candidates should be comfortable interacting directly with business users, have direct customer service experience, and interactions via phone, chat, email and ticketing platforms
Strong analytical, and problem-solving capabilities
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to engage and connect with internal and external partners
SCOPE:
As an intern you will work with a variety of teams, in IT/MIS but not limited to: Architecture & Integration, Business Intelligence, Governance, Solution Delivery, Infrastructure and Enterprise Data Management to gain knowledge and understanding of information technology's role at PEI
Part of the experience will include supporting projects as assigned and defined by student's specific learning goals, participating in training, on-site meetings, and department wide learning opportunities as available
Lastly, interns will complete an end of internship project showcasing one's knowledge and present to management
The structured internship is designed to expose students to the role IT/MIS play to enable business capabilities at PEI.
