  • This position may be designated Critical Acquisition Position (CAP). You must be a member of the Acquisition Corps, become a member, or obtain a waiver at the time of selection and sign a three-year tenure agreement prior to assuming the position.

  • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) may be required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or pass the test. You will be subject to random testing.

  • You may be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.

  • Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. Those selected for a supervisory position will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.

  • Position selected for may or may not be under a bargaining unit.

  • Warrant authority above the small purchase threshold may be required.

Qualifications

Applicants must meet the following minimum qualifications:

FOR THE GS-05 (or equivalent pay band): Your resume must demonstrate that you have at least three years of general experience that includes one year of experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-04) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing work that requires analytical ability, judgment, discretion, and knowledge of a substantial body of administrative or program principles, concepts, policies, and objectives. Examples of experience include: assisting with administrative support functions related to procurement, property accountability, facilities management, and/or payroll operations; experience working with others in person-to-person work relationships.

FOR THE GS-07 (or equivalent pay band): Your resume must demonstrate that you have at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing work that requires analytical ability, judgment, discretion, and knowledge of a substantial body of administrative or program principles, concepts, policies, and objectives. Examples of experience include: performing administrative support functions related to procurement, property accountability, facilities management, and/or payroll operations; gathering data from information systems; working with quality assurance.

FOR THE GS-09 (or equivalent pay band): Your resume must demonstrate that you have at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing work that requires analytical ability, judgment, discretion, and knowledge of a substantial body of administrative or program principles, concepts, policies, and objectives. Examples of experience include: performing multiple administrative support functions to support procurement, property accountability, facilities management, and/or payroll operations; analyzing pertinent data from multiple administrative support systems; interpreting and applying contract requirement or engineering specifications

FOR THE GS-11 (or equivalent pay band): Your resume must demonstrate that you have at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing work that requires analytical ability, judgment, discretion, and knowledge of a substantial body of administrative or program principles, concepts, policies, and objectives. Examples of experience include: monitoring, controlling, or maintaining the quality of products or services; reviewing production activities and capabilities in light of contract quality requirements; reviewing written quality or inspection procedures for adequacy; evaluating the implementation and effectiveness of quality/inspection systems or sampling plans.

For the GS-12 (or equivalent pay band): Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing work that requires analytical ability, judgment, discretion, and knowledge of a substantial body of administrative or program principles, concepts, policies, and objectives. Examples of experience include: ensuring administrative support functions are both effective and efficient; assessing and monitoring various administrative functions (e.g. payroll, travel, property accountability space and lease acquisition, telecommunications, warehouse operations, mail, supplies, records management and other services, etc.).

FOR THE GS-13 (or equivalent pay band): Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing work that requires analytical ability, judgment, discretion, and knowledge of a substantial body of administrative or program principles, concepts, policies, and objectives. Examples of experience include: participating in the planning and execution on both technical and administrative matters; working to improve internal processes and procedures.

FOR THE GS-14 (or equivalent pay band): Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing work that requires analytical ability, judgment, discretion, and knowledge of a substantial body of administrative or program principles, concepts, policies, and objectives. Examples of experience include: advising on short and long term planning; performing a full spectrum of HR functions; conducting refinement of performance standards and appraisals; managing pay level increases.

FOR THE GS-15 (or equivalent pay band): Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-14 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing work that requires analytical ability, judgment, discretion, and knowledge of a substantial body of administrative or program principles, concepts, policies, and objectives. Examples of experience include: formulating proposals and recommendations; coordinating resource requests with appropriate staff elements; assessing organizational needs and readiness; making recommendations on major changes in initiatives.

Education

Applicants may substitute education for experience in the following situations:

FOR THE GS-05 (or equivalent pay band): Your resume must demonstrate that you have successfully completed a 4-year course of study leading to a bachelor's degree.

FOR THE GS-07 (or equivalent pay band): Your resume must demonstrate that you have successfully completed one full year of graduate level education OR you have successfully completed a bachelor's degree with superior academic achievement

FOR THE GS-09 (or equivalent pay band): Your resume must demonstrate that you have successfully completed a master's or equivalent graduate degree OR have successfully completed two full years of progressively higher graduate level education leading to a master's degree OR LL.B. or J.D., if related.

FOR THE GS-11 (or equivalent pay band): Your resume must demonstrate that you have successfully completed a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree OR you have successfully completed three full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. or equivalent degree
