Your Opportunity

Our Environmental Services group is looking for

an experienced mining professional to join our team as the Mining Sector

Leader for the US .

Your Key Responsibilities

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Help set thevision and lead the expansion of our environmental business within the

Mining Sector in the US

  • Identifybusiness development opportunities consistent with the vision andstrategic plan

  • Provideeffective leadership, technical direction and guidance to a team ofprofessionals dedicated to growing our mining business and further develop

Stantec's profile in the market place

  • Develop andimplement "win" strategies, including client contact, proposalpreparation, and preparation of and participation in client interviews.

  • Develop andmaintain a broad range of client relationships throughout the sector

  • Attract andretain specialized staff needed to secure and deliver sector specificexpertise required for all phases of mining projects

  • Develop in-houseexpertise and methodologies (design, technical and quality standards etc.)to advance our reputation and presence in the sector

  • Work with otherbusiness lines within Stantec to build an integrated service delivery teamfor the Mining Sector

  • Support the achievementof national growth and revenue targets for the Mining Sector

Your Capabilities and Credentials

  • Strongunderstanding of the mining sector, within the US

  • Solid reputationand high level of personal and professional credibility based upon a solidunderstanding of the environmental aspects of the mining sector throughall stages of the mining life cycle.

  • At least 10years professional mining sector experience, in progressively more seniorpositions. This could be with explorers, producers, or consultingservice providers to the mining sector, or a combination thereof.

  • Substantialprevious experience in consulting and a solid background serving the needsof mining sector clients.

  • Strongleadership and business development skills, including significantexperience building and maintaining productive relationships with a miningclient base. Such experience within a consulting organization isconsidered a strong asset

  • Anentrepreneurial orientation with strong understanding of the businessdevelopment challenges of a consulting services provider.

  • Demonstratedtechnical skills and, ideally, advanced educational credentials

  • Must have a good driving recordand valid Driver's License.

Education and Experience

B.S. with at least 10 years professional experience.

VIEW JOBS 4/12/2019 12:00:00 AM 2019-07-11T00:00 Position Purpose: Under the supervision of the Environmental Services Supervisor, this position is established to implement and provide leadership on weekends and relief coverage for all positions, including the Supervisor. This position trains all new employees in housekeeping policies and procedures and functions. This position may act as a supervisor to Environmental Services staff during the absence of the Supervisor. Nature and Scope: The incumbent works independently, receiving minimal directions as to what type of work is to be accomplished. The incumbent is in a highly interactive position with constant interaction with Housekeeping staff and other Medical Center staff who request services or report problems. The incumbent performs as acting Supervisor on weekends and during Supervisor's absence. These acting responsibilities consist of leave and assignment of staff to endure adequate sanitation coverage. Restocks and receives supplies, trains all new employees on housekeeping functions, policies and procedures. A major challenge for this position is to remain calm when training new employees or responding to emergency situations. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: * Infection prevention protocols * Disinfection & cleaning standards * Environmental Service equipment handling * Efficacy knowledge of chemicals * Waste removal & bio-waste handling practices * Terminal cleaning of protected environments * Linen/laundry handling * Ability to learn basic math and ability to do calculations. * Ability to learn all equipment and trouble shoot equipment. * The ability to answer and direct incoming calls to the appropriate staff. * The ability to interact with Nursing personnel and other departments on a professional level.
