The Mining engineer provides technical expertise, support, training and leadership to the underground mine. The two primary functions of the Mining engineer role are Deposit management and Comminution/Sizing. Although the mine has no formal external customers, the mining engineers ensure that their internal customer's needs are satisfied.
Bachelors degree in Mining Engineering, Metallurgical, Mineral Processing, Geology, or Geological Engineering required
At least 3 years of mining experience required.
Co-op or Internship highly recommended
Demonstrated knowledge in Comminution and Screening.
Ability to make engineering generalizations from one process/problem to another with minimal supervision
