Duke Integrative Medicine, a multidisciplinary clinic that takes a whole-person, patient-centered approach to healthcare, is seeking a Mind Body Therapist for their dynamic clinical environment.Candidate may be a Phd Psychologist or a Licensed Social Worker.Candidate should value the mind-body connection, be passionate about helping to promote optimal wellness of body and mind, and have expertise in both traditional approaches (such as CBT), as well as non-traditional tools such as EMDR,mindfulness-based therapies, hypnotherapy, and/or other expressive or holistic-based approaches.
General Description of the Job Class
Provide psychosocial assessments of patients to identify emotional,social, and environmental issues. Formulate, develop and implement individualized patient treatment plan.Facilitate group sessions and provide one-on-one cognitive behavioral psychotherapy.
Duties and Responsibilities of this Level
Conduct psychological assessments. Develop individualized treatment plans for each patient assessed.
Deliver individual cognitive-behavioral psychotherapy and mind-body approaches.Consult with outside mental health providers as available.Provide appropriate referrals to outside mental health services as indicated or requested.Provide patients with information about support groups and/or additional educational resources as indicated or requested.May facilitate group sessions for patients. Meet individually with group patients who appear to have significant issues.Assess patients identified to have potential psychological emergencies.Consult with colleagues and/or Risk Management as necessary for unusual or emergency cases.Maintain detailed medical records for every contact (individual and group) and clinical phone calls. Perform other related duties as required.
Required Qualifications at this Level Education:
Work requires a Psychology Degree at the Ph.D. level or a Masters in Social Work
Work requires 2 years experience in counseling or a related field. Degrees, Licensure, and/or
Certification: Licensed Psychologist or Social Worker in State of North Carolina
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills. A solid knowledge of clinical psychology practice.
Ability to work effectively and autonomously in a self directed role.
Highly collaborative with strong interpersonal and team building skills.
