At BMC, the dedicated Millwork Assembler is an entry level team member responsible for assembling millwork products. This team member produces these on an assembly line by using one or more repetitive actions under direct supervision.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Operates nail guns, staple guns and miter saws.

  • Assembles components under the direction of the line leaders.

  • Maintains work area, by keeping it neat and organized.

  • May perform other special projects.

  • Other duties as assigned by management.

Required Skills

  • Minimum Education: High school or GED.

  • Use and read a measuring tape and framing square correctly.

  • Ability to read and evaluate work orders.

  • Ability to communicate with other coworkers and supervisors.

  • Ability to work in a high paced team environment to meet daily production goals.

  • Must be able to:

  • Lift 65 pounds from ground level to standing position, 20 pounds above head.

  • Pull 20 pounds from a standing position, from various levels, including above head.

  • Pull 20 pounds from a kneeling position, from various level, including above head.

  • Stand and/or walk for an 8 hour shift.

  • Frequently bend and stoop during an 8 hour shift.

  • Temperatures will vary.

  • Ability to work in dusty and noisy environment when operating machines and tools.

  • Ear protection required when exposed to noise for an extended period of time.

  • Wear required attire and personal protective gear (PPE).

  • Overtime work could be involved.

Required Experience

  • Minimum Experience: entry-level position requiring background in physical labor type work.

Position Overview: The Pack Center Assembler will pack various products and sometimes work on machinery which is part of the packaging process. In this function you will: * Packing and visual inspection of a variety of parts and products * Place materials in standard boxes, cartons or other containers for shipment or storage * Fold, stack, lift and arrange articles in cartons are container to prevent breakage or damage.
