This is a position requires the skills of operating a Motorgrader on Road Construction projects and requires prior experience.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Prior experience operating heavy construction equipment in a site or road construction setting.

In depth knowledge of construction equipment, OSHA procedures, and construction plans.

Create level surfaces, grade slopes to specifications, grade aggregate to level surfaces. Understanding of different types of and classes of aggregates and earth.

• Possess a solid understanding of aspects of the road construction industry including preparatory work, grades, drainage, aggregate size, state, federal and local job specifications, machine control guidance, and compaction.

• Must be willing and able to perform duties associated with the efficient working condition of the equipment.

Minor servicing and maintenance of equipment or refer major problems to the supervisor.

• May perform other related duties such as shovel work, setting string line, checking grade, use of GPS equipment..
