Mill Operator

We are looking for a Mill Operator to join our team as a vital member of the production team. You will be responsible for the milling of raw chili products and ensure product is milled according to specification. This candidate should be able to tolerate smells such as chili, onion, and garlic. Be a part of a collaborative team and able to work rotating shifts.

What you'll do:

• Ensure raw material is milled within control limits set for surface color, moisture and agglomerates. Take lab samples every hour, make adjustments as needed, ability to know when adjustments are needed

• Assist Sterilizer Lead on replacing Sifters Screens. Ensures sliders are in place, assess proper amount of cleaning cubes are set, completes accountability forms, and washes used equipment. Learn to operate the sterilizer equipment when Sterilizer Lead is not available

• Performs Reclassifications and Work Order Completions to account for all products used and produced as needed when Sterilizer lead is not available

• Safely operates a forklift according to safety regulations. Perform daily inspection of lift, and maintains a neat orderly work space

• Perform row counts on all milled product, reporting any discrepancies to shift supervisor.

What you'll bring:

• Ability to operate a forklift, perform simple math, good proficiency in verbal and written communication in English

• Work in extreme temperatures ranging from 35 to over 100 degrees Fahrenheit, loud noises, airborne food particles, and ability to lift 50 to 100lbs, and safety roll heavy drums filled with product

• Effectively communicate with a wide range of individuals and functional areas

• Able to work rotating shifts is a must

The hourly rate for this position is $23.71 USD. Pay within the range is based on several factors, which may include, but are not limited to, education, work experience, specialized training, and labor market conditions. This position is also eligible for performance-based incentive pay.
