Nationwide IT Services is seeking an experienced Military Systems Specialist in support of our proposal effort for the US Army Aeronautical Services Agency (USAASA). The Military Systems Specialist shall support the resourcing and policy development for Army airfields/heliports and developing and maintaining instrument procedures.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Support the planning, organizing, managing, and integrating the technical work of other technical experts involving the development and maintenance of Army instrument flight procedures.
Perform design, development, validation and evaluation of instrument flight procedures, processes, techniques, models and/or methodologies used to develop complex instrument flight procedures.
Provide expertise in specific systems integration with other defense systems as it relates to aviation, airspace, performance-based navigation, and instrument procedure policies.
Shall be a subject matter expert on system operations relating to terminal instrument approach procedures.
The specialists shall provide specific knowledge of system interface issues and develop written technical approaches and methodology to support the development of instrument flight procedures.
Expert experience working and evaluating foreign instrument flight procedures and terminal approach procedures for compliance under ICAO and NATO rules
Provide expertise in staffing requirements at high levels of military organizations. The specialists shall have in-depth knowledge of DOD, FAA, international civil aviation rules and other applicable laws, regulations, instructions and directives as they pertain to airfield standards, ATC, aircraft operations, airfield management and instrument flight procedures.
Possess a bachelors degree in an intensive discipline or major field of study which either provides substantial knowledge useful in managing instrument flight procedures or is closely related to the work as described and required by the tasks outlined in the PWS.
Education and Requirements:
Must have ACTIVE SECRET Clearance
At least 15 years of professional experience working in military and/or Federal Government aviation-related fields.
10 years of experience developing/designing/maintaining instrument flight procedures.
