EXAMPLE OF WORK: Under general supervision of the Fire Chief, is responsible for the supervision of MCFR I, II personnel. Duties include, but not limited to: Structural/Aircraft/Wild Land Firefighting, Technical Rescue, Hazardous Materials/CBRNE Response, Urban Search & Rescue, and other duties as assigned. This is a Management position within the 182nd Fire Department.

Minimum Requirements:
REQUIREMENTS: * Requires completion of one full enlistment of any length in any component and any branch of service of the US Armed Forces with an Honorable Discharge that has completed Air Force Specialty Code (AFSC) 3E7X1, Level 3 or the transferable equivalent.

  • Must acquire and maintain a Common Access Card issued by Dept. of Defense for computer access.

Must have 3E771 (Fire Protection) Primary Air Force Specialty Code; possess valid civilian driver's license and obtain a military driver's license for assigned vehicles as required; obtain/maintain a favorable SECRET security clearance (AFR 205-32); meet medical prerequisites of NFPA 1582, Standard on Comprehensive Occupational Medical Program for Fire Departments, 2013 Edition; meet DoD/IFSAC Certification requirements in accordance with Air Force Instruction 32-2001, ANG Supplemental 1, Attachment 10.

  • Must maintain Valid State Driver's License and Government License on all assigned

In a coordinated effort with all compliance staff keeps all facilities in compliance with procedures included in the ILARNG Environmental Protection Policy,AR 200-1, Federal, State, and Local Regulations for environmental compliance. Minimum Requirements: REQUIREMENTS: Requires active or retired (minimum of 20 yrs) membership in the Illinois National Guard or retired (minimum 20 yrs) US Armed Forces, if last duty assignment was with the Illinois National Guard. Requires knowledge, skill and mental development equivalent to a Bachelor's degree with coursework in physical, life, or environmental science with one year of professional experience in environmental waste management or related field, or a Master's Degree in a related field. Requires working knowledge of modern inspection and investigative techniques and procedures; and requires working knowledge of State and Federal laws, rules, and regulations pertaining to environmental protection or pollutant abatement. Position requires exposure to potentially hazardous chemical and requires a working knowledge of proper industrial hygiene practices and the Hazard Communication (HAZCOM) system as outlined by OSHA as a part of daily duties. Requires training for and wearing of appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE); including proper filters, respirators and skin/eye protection based on chemical I use. Requires ability to perform physical activities such as lifting, bending, and other routine exercises required for sampling of chemical containers, oil-water separators, storage tanks, etc. Will requires training on prescribed burn techniques. Will be required to obtain and to maintain Public Applicators/Operators license. Requires valid driver's license.
