Description of Duties/Essential Functions Benefits Supplemental Questions

EXAMPLE OF WORK: Serves as the Assistant Chief of Fire Prevention (ACFP) and Health and Safety Officer (HSO) at the installation under general supervision of the Fire Chief. As ACFP is responsible for implementation, inspection, audit, education, supervision, policy development and implementation for Hazard Assessment Inspection Program, Public Fire Prevention and Education Program, Fire Protection Engineering, and Extinguisher Maintenance Programs. Develops fire briefings, regulations, training programs, demonstrations, and lectures. As HSO is responsible for the Occupational Safety and Health Program. Develops, researches, interprets, analyzes and applies policy directives and guidelines. Serves as primary Incident Safety Officer (ISO), participates within the incident management system as a command staff member and respond in accordance with SOP/SOG to emergency incidents.

Minimum Requirements:
REQUIREMENTS: *Requires completion of one full enlistment of any length in any component and any branch of service of the US Armed Forces that has completed Air Force Specialty Code (AFSC) 3E7X1, Level 3 or the transferable equivalent.

  • Must acquire and maintain a Common Access Card issued by Department of Defense for computer access.*

Must have 3E751 (Fire Protection) Primary Air Force Specialty Code. Must possess valid civilian driver's license and obtain a military driver's license for assigned vehicles as required. Must obtain/maintain a favorable SECRET security clearance (AFR 205-32). Must meet medical REQUIREMENTS: * Requires completion of one full enlistment of any length in any component and any branch of service of the US Armed Forces that has completed Air Force Specialty Code (AFSC) 3E7X1, Level 3 or the transferable equivalent.

Must have 3E771 (Fire Protection) Primary Air Force Specialty Code; possess valid civilian driver's license and obtain a military driver's license for assigned vehicles as required; obtain/maintain a favorable SECRET security clearance (AFR 205-32); meet medical prerequisites of NFPA 1582, Standard on Comprehensive Occupational Medical Program for Fire Departments, 2013 Edition; meet DoD/IFSAC Certification requirements in accordance with Air Force Instruction 32-2001, ANG Supplemental 1, Attachment 10.

  • Must maintain Valid State Driver's License and Government License on all assigned
