Olin Corporation is a leading vertically-integrated global manufacturer and distributor of chemical products and a leading U.S. manufacturer of ammunition. The chemical products produced include chlorine and caustic soda, vinyls, epoxies, chlorinated organics, bleach and hydrochloric acid. Winchester, with its principal manufacturing facilities in East Alton, IL and Oxford, MS, produces and distributes sporting ammunition, law enforcement ammunition, reloading components, small caliber military ammunition and components, and industrial cartridges.
This position will reside in East Alton, IL, Oxford, MS, or at the Picatinny Office
Position Responsibilities (Not all Inclusive)
Manages the development of new military business with focus on International customers and US Military R&D programs with emphasis on current and future Military technology requirements.
Coordinates the writing and submitting of proposals centered on Winchester strengths and Military capabilities to include working with manufacturing and engineering to develop new capabilities where appropriate.
Serves as primary Winchester point-of-contact for all program communications and international customers.
Maintains knowledge of market conditions and activity related to assigned program areas (e.g. pending customer requirements, competitive information, customer procurement strategies, key customer organizations, and personnel, etc.)
Maintains knowledge of annual DoD budget cycle, tracking funds available for development programs.
Prepares complete, effective and on-time proposals in response to customer solicitations and RFQs including but not limited to international and development opportunities.
Interprets and manages programs to ensure compliance with Customer contractual and regulatory requirements.
Prepares reports for presentations to internal and external customers as needed.
Other duties and special projects as assigned.
Position Requirements/Qualifications (Not all inclusive)
Bachelor of Science Degree in an Engineering curriculum or related Business discipline required.
Minimum 5 years recent related experience.
Supervisory or Program Management experience within a Sales organization required.
Authorized to work in the United States due to government program requirements.
Prior Military experience preferred.
Experience with U.S. Government contracting.
Knowledge of ITAR regulations preferred.
Prior experience successfully leading a cross-functional team of diverse individuals to a common business objective.
Demonstrates cross-cultural awareness and sensitivity.
Experience working with Middle Eastern Countries preferred.
Ability to effectively interact and represent Winchester with U.S. Government and International customers.
Demonstrates ability to manage a high-volume work load and willingness to be collaborative and support team efforts.
Must possess excellent leadership, problem-solving, decision-making, and interpersonal skills.
Excellent communication (verbal and written), strategic/analytical skills, presentation and facilitation skills.
Travel required (approximately 30%).
