Aftermarket Military Programs provides complete aftermarket solutions for Military products, which includes; Spare Parts and LRU's (Line Replaceable Units), Upgrades, Retrofits, Repairs, Performance Based Logistic (PBL) Programs for US and Foreign Military platforms.

The Program Management COOP position will support the various aspects of platform execution for Military Aftermarket. The candidate is expected to develop an understanding of the UTAS business and support internal and external customers as required.

This individual should possess outstanding leadership, interpersonal, oral and written communication skills. Additionally, this opportunity will provide exposure to many different disciplines within the UTAS environment such as import/export control and compliance, contracts, legal, proposals, and business ethics. This individual will be given the opportunity to interface with executives in the UTAS Military Aftermarket organization and will have the opportunity to shape decisions impacting business processes.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Coordination with business units on Aftermarket Entry into Service and deliverables

  • Maintain project tasks within Microsoft Project, interfacing with a variety of functional areas and business units inside the organization to ensure successful plan development, execution and launch.

  • Assist in monitoring and coordinating process improvement initiatives

  • Work with business units leads to ensure actions are driven to closure

  • Host meetings with cross functional disciplines as needed

  • Candidate should be comfortable working with cross functional disciplines to identify process gaps and identify initiatives and actions to close gaps

Aftermarket Military Programs provides complete aftermarket solutions for Military products, which includes: Spare Parts and LRU's (Line Replaceable Units), Upgrades, Retrofits, Repairs, Performance Based Logistic (PBL) Programs for US and Foreign Military platforms. This strategic project planning position is responsible for the creation of plans to support key initiatives within the Military Aftermarket Services organization. Initiatives will address new opportunities to improve customer supportability, proposal throughput and challenges such as out of production platforms, obsolescence, commercial item contracting (FAR 12), and long term contract additions. Individual filling this role should be knowledgeable with U.S. Government regulations (FAR 12/15), and Collins Aerospace policies and procedures. This individual will be responsible to work with the various business unit teams to both benchmark and leverage best practices across the businesses. This role requires a self-starter with a working knowledge of strategic design, planning, and implementation. Initiatives leadership and execution across SBU teams: * Establish program plans and milestones to develop initiatives and monitor completion of tasks in integrated program master schedule * Support development of best practices in compliance with all Collins Aerospace procedures and Government regulations * Support development of processes improvements such as proposals, out of production and cold starts initiatives, obsolescence, and cost and pricing strategies * Partner with the Collins Aerospace business to include but not limited to Program Managers, Contracts, Out of Production teams, supply chain, and pricing teams in support of execution * Strategically partner with the business units to implement process improvements Education / Certifications * Bachelors in Engineering or Business is required * Master's Degree in Engineering or Business is preferred Experience/Qualifications * Minimum of 5 years of industry experience * Aerospace Aftermarket Program Management experience desired * Strong understanding of government contracting, FAR Part 12 and FAR Part 15 * Proven ability to lead cross functional or multi-domain teams * Strong program / project management and data /analytic skills required with the ability develop strategic program plans for execution * The ability to multi-task projects, managing multiple platforms and customers, including major aircraft manufacturers, international, domestic and the U.S. Government. * Demonstrated ability to work with unclear requirements and develop creative solutions for addressing customer challenges * Excellent oral, written, and presentation communications skills are required along with the ability to establish effective communication and working relationships with all levels and functions of customer organizations, as well as within Collins Aerospace * Ability to travel domestically up to 20% of the time UTAS4220183 At this time, Collins Aerospace will not sponsor a new applicant for employment authorization for this position.
