Come join the DMVA team, apply today!In this position you will conduct planned sessions of resident activities under the direction of Therapeutic Recreational Services staff that will lead residents of the Southeastern Veterans Center to their highest level of physical, cognitive, and social abilities.

Work Schedule:

9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. & 11:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Every other weekend & Rotating Holidays as scheduled

Rotating Schedule including some evenings

40 hours/week; 8 hours/day

Lunch Period: 30 minutes

This position's hours can be flexed based on operational needs

If you are selected for hire and you are not a current Commonwealth employee, this position requires you to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 prior to the start of your employment. You are considered to be fully vaccinated two weeks after your second dose of a two-dose COVID-19 vaccine (e.g., the Moderna or Pfizer-BioNTech vaccines) or two weeks after receiving a one-dose COVID-19 vaccine (e.g., the Johnson & Johnson vaccine). Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

One year of experience as a Therapeutic Activity Aide in a Commonwealth facility; Or

Two years of paid experience in the field of physical, recreation, or occupational therapy; Or

Any equivalent combination of experience and training.

  • This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act:

  • Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment may require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.

  • A conditional offer of employment may require the satisfactory completion of a medical examination and drug screening.
