Requirements / Qualifications

The Antelope Valley Migrant Education Program Consortium seeks a part-time English Language Arts teacher who will deliver rigorous supplemental instruction to Migrant students. The most qualified candidates will be selected for an interview. (Applications will be accepted and considered until the posting is closed). The location of the vacancy will be on-site at the Palmdale Learning Plaza. This assignment will be effective for the 2024 Summer School program.

The Science / STEM teacher will engage students with lessons aligned with current state standards, use pre-and-post assessments to drive instruction, and utilize a variety of creative and effective instructional hands-on activities and projects to connect students with the learning themes of the Summer School STEAM Academy. The Antelope Valley Migrant Education Program Consortium provides supplemental instruction to eligible Migrant students, from Transitional Kindergarten to Grade 12. The unique structure of the program allows students to rotate from ELA and Math supplemental courses to electives.
