General Job Description MIG Welder Entry Level Status: Hourly Reports To: General Manager Magnetech Industrial Services IES Infrastructure Solutions Primary Responsibility: The candidate will require a minimum of 1 year experience or attended a trade school for welding mild or structural steel using gas metal arc welding (GMAW/ MIG) and flux cored arc welding (FCAW) welding methods. The ability to weld in at least one of the following weld positions is a must (flat, horizontal, and vertical), while experienced in welding fillet or butt weld joints. Responsibilities and Duties: Proficient use of basic hand tools such as grinder, cut-off wheel, and magnetic drill. Ability to accurately read and interpret a tape measure (test will be required). Ability to follow written and verbal work instructions Some overhead crane experience is a plus Ability to lift and maneuverer metal components a minimum of 50 lbs. Qualifications: Flexibility to work in other related departments as required Education, Experience and Skills Required:1+ year of on-the-job experience welding using GMAW or FCAW welding methods Attended a welding trade school and completed program This job description is not a contract between the company and any person.
