VT Group is seeking a Mid-Level Telecommunications Cabling Technicians in South Korea.
Installation, termination, testing, and labeling of low voltage voice and data copper and fiber cables in new construction facility and data center.
Pulls in copper and fiber low voltage cabling required in raised floor, overhead ceiling, EMT conduit pathways, etc
Terminate Cat6 and Cat6A copper cables at Work Area Outlets, patch panels, and panels.
Testing and labeling of all copper and fiber cables installed.
Working knowledge of blueprints, drawings, layouts, or other cabling specifications.
Pulls in copper and fiber backbone tie cables between Telecommunications Closets and MDF's.
Terminating fiber (Not mandatory)
Assist in pulling in copper and fiber Outside Plant cables between buildings in existing conduit pathways.
Using a variety of basic telecommunications hand tools and other tools such as drills, reciprocating saws, etc in the performance of day to day installations.
Support customer as required on tasking related to telecommunications scope.
Assist in troubleshooting as required.
Assist in the inventory of our materials and equipment sent to site.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
Must commit to full duration of this project (Feb 2019 to Feb 2020)
If Project goes beyond 6 months in duration, customer will take care of transportation back to home of record for 2 weeks before returning to site.
All local lodging is handled by customer with local apartments
All local transportation to and from job site is handled by customer
All electricians will be paid $50/day seven-days a week for meals. No receipts required.
Any US holidays worked on site will be paid an additional 8 hours plus the normal hours worked, all at straight time
Must have valid US Passport
Willing to travel to South Korea for full duration of project
Capable of climbing ladders and working in confined spaces in support of the telecommunications scope.
Experience in understanding of floor plan drawings showing locations of work area outlets, telecom closet layouts, rack/cabinet mounting/grounding, and other schematics.
Experience in installation of cable conveyances such as J-hooks, cable tray, conduit, ladder rack, etc.
