As a Senior Process Engineer, you'll have the chance to help our Clients provide a safe and reliable source of Energy to heat homes, fuel automobiles, and move goods and services in support of millions of people. Working with other members of the team, you'll coordinate and collaborate with other disciplines such as architectural, structural, mechanical, and electrical to develop designs. During your time with us, you will Conducts work in an independent manner in the evaluation, selection, and adaptation of engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria, as well as service during construction (SDC) including answering RFIs, reviewing submittals, and preparing design revisions.   • B.S. degree in Chemical Engineering.

  • At least 5 years' experience in process related design

  • Ability to coordinate and lead design team consisting of local and remote team members.

  • Ability to perform field/site visits which may include the need to climb ladders.

VIEW JOBS 11/16/2018 12:00:00 AM 2019-02-14T00:00 Overview The Journeyman Industrial Mechanic performs highly skilled mechanical work in the installation, modification, maintenance, fabrication and repair of complex industrial equipment and systems. Mechanical expertise and skillsets desirable to this role include millwright experience, machinist experience, welding and cutting experience, and fabrication of mechanical components. The Journeyman Industrial Mechanic also assists in the development of preventive maintenance activities. Duties and Responsibilities The listed examples of work are not intended to be all-inclusive. Any one position may not include all of the duties listed, nor do the listed examples include all of the tasks which may be found in positions of this class Essential Duties & Responsibilities * Installs, modifies, maintains and repairs complex industrial equipment such as gear boxes, pumps, fans, compressors, engines, chemical systems, material handling equipment, compressed air supply systems, boilers and other wastewater treatment equipment. * Performs precision machine alignments on equipment including electric motors for corrective and preventative maintenance. * Fabricates parts using shop equipment such as ironworker, drill presses and grinders. * Performs precision machine work using mills, CNC, and lathes. * Operates welding and cutting equipment such as plasma, MIG, TIG, stick gas welding, brazing, soldering, and acetylene. * Designs layout work on new equipment and makes recommendations on modifications to existing equipment: interprets and alters drawings or blueprints to make field fits. Works from complex engineering drawings to complete projects and assigned work. * Assists the supervisor in planning work, plus ordering materials to facilitate the scheduled completion of assigned work. * Coordinates repair times and methods with Supervisor and plant operating personnel. * Removes, repairs, and reinstalls deep well pumps. * Repairs horizontal and vertical drive centrifugal pumps. * Installs spherical, thrust, radial, and line-shaft bearings on pumps and motors. * Recommends revisions to the Preventive Maintenance Program. * Assists with on the job training of Apprentice Industrial Mechanics for specialized areas. * Contributes to the development and implementation of goals, objectives, procedures, and service standards. * Identifies and determines operational parameters and requirements for various maintenance programs, including the development, implementation and evaluation of preventative maintenance programs. * Ensures maintenance and repair quality to prolong the life of industrial equipment and machinery. * Completes reports and forms on manpower, supplies, purchasing, accident forms, and hazardous condition reports. * Stays informed of all relevant technological advances for industrial equipment and machinery by networking, reading, and attending conferences/seminars. * Performs other duties as assigned. Education and Experience Education: High School Education or GED. Vocational school or college education desired. Work Experience: Completion of a four-year apprenticeship or six years' experience working as a millwright, machinist, pipefitter, welder or as an industrial maintenance mechanic on equipment similar to equipment found at a wastewater treatment plant. Certifications and/or Licensures: None. Required Driver's License: Valid Colorado driver's license and a clear or acceptable MVR Other Information Knowledge Advanced knowledge of: * Industrial equipment, components, systems, electrical and instrumentation * Industrial safety policies and practices * Electronics and electrical principles * Supervisory principles and practices * Wastewater treatment processes Working knowledge of: * Mechanical engineering principles * Industrial machinery * Drawing and interpreting blue prints * Applications software for Windows environment, Microsoft Office preferred Skills and Abilities Computer Skills – Advanced skills needed to work in a high technology environment, work with Computerized Maintenance Management System and other computer periphery equipment. Communication – Strong skills needed to communicate both verbally and in writing. Ability to write reports and correspondence, and give direction, guidance and informal presentations. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, other city departments/divisions, management, public officials, contractors, vendors, and the general public. Analytical – Advanced skills needed to determine maintenance and repairs needed; resolve problems. Strong skills needed to interpret technical manuals, specifications, blueprints, schematics, and mechanical drawings. Mechanical – Strong skills required to work with the tools and equipment used in maintenance, repair, and construction. Project Management – Strong skills needed to plan, direct, and organize the work of staff, and enact long range plans up to 5 years. General Management – Strong skills needed for budget management.
