Middle School Student Support Coordinator (7-8 Grades) Full Time/Exempt .5 FTE with .5 teaching Start date: July 29, 2024 Salary Range $65K-$105K Student Support Review all student's neuropsychological testing to ensure a holistic, supportive, and strength based approach to each student's educational environment, focusing on the manifestation of their emotional and behavioral needs, and providing information to faculty and parents as needed.
Enforce disciplinary policies and standards of conduct, handling minor/major student behavior issues and support emotional concerns, implementing consequences as needed, making referrals to counselors, and communicating with members of student's team, which includes parent(s)/guardian(s) Partake in disciplinary process (such as Standard Committee Meetings) with an emphasis on education to reduce or eliminate unexpected behaviors Meet/Communicate with parents as needed Observe students to provide feedback about best practices to enhance student learning, engagement, and social skills Promote Professional Development and Growth of faculty to ensure best practices in teaching and research-based educational knowledge supports student learning Keep up to date with current educational trends and best practices by attending workshops and through partnerships Consult with teachers to develop the Chartwell Education Plan and best practices for each student based on the Chartwell Student Profile Attend Middle School Student Talk meetings Support Parent Teacher and CEP conferences SEAD/Culture Collaborate with colleagues to create, update, and implement Middle School SEAD program Communicate to and educate parents about Middle School SEAD program and content Ensure the SEAD program meets expectations of the school's leadership team, families and faculty.
