Middle School English Teacher - One Year Position

The Arlington Public Schools are accepting applications from applicants interested in teaching Grade 8 English at the Ottoson Middle School. This is a one year position for the 2024-2025 school year, although it is possible there will be an opportunity to continue beyond one year.

Candidates for elementary teaching positions must be appropriately licensed for the position. Candidates must also be collaborative professionals who will work with department and school level colleagues, regular and special educators throughout the School.

Must love working with children and be willing to differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all students in the classroom. In addition, Arlington expects teachers to work diligently and collaboratively to implement the District's approved curriculum for all subjects.

Arlington has a well-established new teacher induction program with mentoring throughout the school year. The first official work day in the 2024-2025 school year will be August 28, 2024. However, new staff are required to attend several days of orientation and training during the last two weeks of August.
