Job Summary
New LA is seeking a passionate, well-organized ELD Teacher who enjoys working at the middle school level and is seeking a small school environment where they have the ability to shape the school's culture and future. The ELD teacher will provide designated ELD instruction and oversee the ELD program throughout the school. New LA is looking for outstanding educators with a strong foundation in the Common Core State Standards and language acquisition whose teaching beliefs and practices are rooted in anti-racist, culturally responsive pedagogy. At New LA, teachers play an important role in shaping the culture of the school and acting as teacher leaders. Teachers participate in school decision-making, collaborate on curriculum, scheduling and programs, and will be deeply invested in the mission, culture and success of the school community.
