Requirements / Qualifications

Requirements: Bachelor's and/or master's degree in Art (or related field) Minimum of two years of teaching experience at the Middle School level desired Interest in contributing to the school community outside of the classroom as an athletic coach, student advisor, student club leader, or otherwise preferred Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities : Develop and implement a curriculum and lesson plans that foster the knowledge and skills essential to effectively teaching Middle School students Create hands-on, inquiry-based, project-based lessons that build excitement for Visual Arts Demonstrate concepts using models, technology, and other standard or teacher-prepared instructional aids Evaluate each student's progress in their knowledge and skills in Visual Arts Communicate with parents to discuss the individual student's progress Spiritual Requirements: Model a growing and vibrant relationship with Jesus Christ Demonstrate biblical maturity and serve as a Christian role model Maintains active participation in an evangelical church For further details, see the attachment titled "Teacher Job Description."
