Wholesale Banking provides financial solutions to businesses across the United States and globally. The Wells Fargo Middle Market Banking Group (MMB) solicits and maintains relationships with businesses by offering a full array of credit, technologically advanced treasury management and investment products. The Greater Georgia RCBO covers a vast geography 152 counties outside Metro Atlanta with concentrated opportunities in major Greater Georgia markets such as Savannah, Augusta, Macon, Athens, Dalton and Valdosta. The market opportunity is comprised of a broad mix of manufacturing, distribution, trucking/logistics, retail trade, real estate and food/agri-business. The team has experienced significant growth with positive market receptivity due our consistent, in-person client and prospect coverage, local credit leadership and collaboration with differentiated partners.

The Relationship Manager 4 (RM) is a senior level position focused on middle market commercial banking relationship management. With the assistance of our many internal partners, the RM is responsible for managing the client experience along with the responsibility of managing a portfolio of customers as well as developing new client relationships throughout our coverage territory.

Responsibilities include:

  • Meeting annual profit targets by actively generating new business through prospecting and cross sell efforts;

  • Representing the bank in developing and maintaining client relationships;

  • Originating, structuring and executing commercial middle market C&I and real estate transactions, including but not limited to, investment banking, treasury management products, commercial lending and/or non-credit related products; and ensuring an excellent client experience.

They are accountable for execution of all applicable risk programs (Credit, Market, Financial Crimes, Operational, Regulatory Compliance), which includes effectively following and adhering to applicable Wells Fargo policies and procedures, appropriately fulfilling risk and compliance obligations, timely and effective escalation and remediation of issues, and making sound risk decisions. There is emphasis on proactive monitoring, governance, risk identification and escalation, as well as making sound risk decisions commensurate with the business unit's risk appetite and all risk and compliance program requirements.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of account relationship management experience

  • Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of negotiating: interest rates, price, terms, and collateral requirements

  • Experience consistently delivering strong sales performance

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

  • Strong organizational, multi tasking, and prioritizing skills
