We are seeking an enthusiastic Mid-LevelWater Engineer to join our water and wastewater technical team in Kansas City, Missouri. We are looking for a highly
motivated engineer to work on a variety of water treatment, wastewater treatment, and conveyance projects. This position will primarily support senior level engineers and project managers to conduct evaluations, designs, and construction management services at water and wastewater facilities. Each day, you will be an important team member as you participate in the design, coordination, and execution of projects for our clients. Our senior engineers are committed to strong mentorship and providing opportunities to work independently and with peers. You should be a self-motivated professional with a desire to grow personally as well as professionally with each project while delivering transformative projects for our clients, in our diverse and fast-paced office.
Responsibilities of the Water Engineer:
Assist senior engineers on larger, more complex projects, including task management
Guiding, developing, and leading the planning and delivery of conveyance related projects and programs
Effectively communicating with clients to develop collaborative solutions
Discuss project results and recommendations with clients to facilitate informed decision-making
Writing, reviewing, and providing clear, concise input to investigation, regulatory, or solutions reports
Managing deliverables to scope, schedule, and budget
Working with multi-disciplinary teams including Jacobs' Solutions & Technology organization
Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering or other related engineering discipline
5-10 years' conveyance or water treatment experience required
Professional Engineer License (PE) Preferred
Previous consulting experience with a consulting firm serving municipal clients in Missouri or Kansas preferred
Proficiency with Microsoft tools, including Word, Outlook, Excel and Access
