Robert Half Technology is currently looking for an experienced Systems Administrator with a thorough knowledge of networking and load-balancing to join their thriving team. Your day to day will consist of planning service capacity, forecasting demand, evaluating software performance, and tuning systems. Another big part of this seat is guiding and developing New Designs, standards and methods for large systems.

Must Have Experience in:

  • Deep understanding of Microsoft Office 365

  • Active Directory

  • Support of Software technology

  • Microsoft Exchange Server experience

  • Proven knowledge of server

  • VMware

  • General familiarity with bootstrap

  • Disaster recovery Experience, Must be able to speak to your experience

  • Network operating systems knowledge - as well as knowledge of programming or scripting language

  • Clustered and virtual storage solutions

  • A good understanding of HTTP traffic, content delivery and caching

VIEW JOBS 11/20/2018 12:00:00 AM 2019-02-18T00:00 As a member of the Client Services team within the IT department, the Systems Administrator I applies fundamental knowledge of basic principles, theories, concepts and industry practices to investigate and resolve computer hardware and software problems, end-user training and administration and implementation of various systems. * Identify, diagnose and resolve PC hardware, software, network and peripheral problems * Prioritize work load based on the severity of issues and end user needs * Provide application administration of various systems utilized by IT. Reviews processes and procedures for use of these systems and recommends improvements * Serves as a point of escalation for hardware and software related issues within the Client Services team. Provides troubleshooting and support for end users and collaborates with other areas of the IT department and business units to resolve complex and time-consuming issues. * Write or revises user-training manuals and procedures. Develop training materials such as presentations and visual displays. Trains users on the use of technology in classroom settings or through web/video conference. * Research and test technical solutions to improve business processes. Researches alternate approaches to existing software and hardware when standardized approaches cannot be applied. * Support and maintenance of the Windows environment. Assists in the remediation process for the deployment of security updates including Microsoft, Symantec and third-party patches. * Uses reporting tools to conduct routine hardware and software audits of client machines to ensure compliance to policies. * Perform other duties as required. These duties may include assignments in job classifications other than primary assignment. * Participate in after-hours support/on-call rotation. Requirements * Bachelor Degree in MIS or Computer Science or related field from an accredited four-year college or university, preferred. A combination of education, experience, and training may be substituted for these requirements. * Detail oriented with sharp analytical abilities and strong documentation skills * Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills. * Competent in the use of standard software applications such as Microsoft Word and Excel. * Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment. * Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills. * Must be able to collaborate and work well within a team environment. Additional Requirements: Contacts are primarily with the immediate supervisor and other personnel in the section or group. Work Conditions: Work is normally performed in a climate-controlled environment, where exposure to conditions of extreme heat/cold, poor ventilation, fumes and gases is very limited. Noise level is moderate and includes sounds of a normal office environment. No environmental hazards are encountered in performance of normal job duties. Physical Demands: Work normally requires finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination to operate computer keyboard at moderate skill level. Work may require occasional pushing, pulling, or carrying 20-pound objects such as files, documents, and computer printouts.
