The Boeing Company is currently seeking a Mid-Level System Delivery Specialist to join the team in Ridley Park, PA.

We are looking for a technical and pragmatic software developer to support teams in the delivery of the V-22 Interactive Electronic Technical Manual (IETM).

The V-22 Osprey is a joint service multirole combat aircraft utilizing tiltrotor technology to combine the vertical performance of a helicopter with the speed and range of a fixed-wing aircraft. With its rotors in vertical position, it can take off, land and hover like a helicopter. Once airborne, it can convert to a turboprop airplane capable of high-speed, high-altitude flight.

The selected candidate is expected to support teams of developers, design, code, and test multiple software programs of various technologies. You will get to work on our current projects include modernization and security upgrades. The selected candidate's work will directly impact aircraft safety.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Supports software development teams in Agile environments (Scrum, Kanban, Jira, Bitbucket, GitHub, SonarQube, Fortify, and/or Jenkins)

  • Serves as an organization spokesperson on advanced projects and programs

  • Acts as supporting advisor to management and V-22 customers on advanced technical research, user requirements and software solutions

  • Works on unusually complex technical problems and provides solutions which are highly innovative and ingenious

  • Develops advanced technical ideas and guides teams in their development into final products

  • Initiates assignments, determines and pursues courses of action necessary to meet customer schedules

  • Identifies, evaluates and documents complex computing system requirements

  • Supports activities to architect, design, build and test delivery systems and components

  • Provides technical leadership to evaluate product usability, affordability, functionality, security and performance to assess suitability for integration into delivery system environments

  • Provides technical support and consultation for the implementation and usage of complex delivery systems

This position is hybrid. The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options. This is at the hiring team's discretion and could potentially change in the future.

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 3+ years of experience with Relational Databases such as SQL-Server, Oracle, Teradata

  • 3+ years of experience with Object Oriented Design and Programming in a high-level language like C#, .NET, Java, SQL, HTML, and CSS

  • 3+ years of experience designing and implementing solutions (e.g. client/server, storage, network, cloud, information security concepts, etc.)

  • 3+ years of IT Infrastructure experience supporting desktop, server, storage or network hardware and software components

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 5+ years of experience with software development in Agile methodology

  • 5+ years of experience with Tomcat web server technology

  • 3+ years of experience with C/C# and ASP.NET

  • 1+ years of experience with Angular

  • Experience in Aircraft Maintenance and Aircraft Operations

  • Experience in leading teams, facilitating meetings, managing workloads and monitoring progress to plan

  • Experience with application development and Agile Software Process

  • Experience with Cloud application migration such as Amazon Web Services (AWS) services/tools

  • Experience with Unix, Linux, and/or CShell

  • Experience with Visual Basic

Typical Education & Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience, 9 years' related work experience, etc.).

Relocation:

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary pay range: $108,800 - $147,200
