We are seeking a talented and experienced Java Software Engineer to join their dynamic team in Columbia, MD. You'll have the opportunity to design, develop, and implement cutting-edge software solutions for their clients. In this role, you'll leverage your expertise in modern Java frameworks and libraries alongside a team of skilled engineers. You can expect to work with the latest Java tools and technologies, staying ahead of the curve through continuous learning. What you'll need: 

• Bachelor's degree in a related field (or Master's with 3+ years of experience, or equivalent experience with a High School Diploma).

• 5+ years of experience in Software Engineering with strong Java proficiency (frameworks and libraries like Spring, Guava).

• Experience designing enterprise APIs and RESTful web services.

• Solid understanding of Microservices architecture and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles.

• Experience with Agile software development lifecycle.

• Proficiency with Linux operating systems and configuration management tools (Git, Nexus, Maven).

• Proven ability to learn quickly and work effectively in both independent and collaborative settings.

• Willingness to work in a hybrid environment with occasional travel to our Columbia, MD office.

Demonstrated experience with:

• DoD 8140 / 8570 compliance certifications (Security+, A+, Net+, etc)

• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure), Big Data Platforms and Scripting 

• Familiarity with distributed databases, NoSQL databases, and full-text search engines (e.g., Elasticsearch, MongoDB, Solr).

• Solid understanding of Agile methodologies and standard software development tool suites (e.g., JIRA, Confluence, Github Enterprise).

Clearance requirement: Secret clearance and U.S. Citizenship required. Please note, you MUST have the required clearance for consideration. 

Location/telework: Hybrid schedule with onsite location in Columbia, MD.
