BoeingCommercial Airplanes (BCA) is looking for a Mid-LevelProcurement Field Representative (Level 3) to support the Global Field Operations team based out of Boston, Massachusetts or Burlington, Vermont on first shift.

The selected candidate would be expected to ensure suppliers are meeting scheduled deliveries, to all of our business units.

Global Field Operations (GFO) is the presence of Boeing at its suppliers and sub-tiers, and is responsible for being the integrators, driving communication and resolutions in our supply base. It is the responsibility of Field Representatives to proactively problem-solve and drive overall supplier recovery to ensure delivery and quality compliance.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Monitors emergent offload/overload suppliers including processors, philanthropic, machine shop and sheet metal shop to ensure schedule compliance and product conformity.

  • Identifies, establishes, and maintains priorities for deliveries of products, services and data that support necessary supplier contractual corrective actions and resolution of issues (e.g., poor schedule performance, product and producibility issues) to ensure contractual compliance.

  • Communicates across functions (e.g., procurement agents, suppliers, internal customers, field quality, engineering, manufacturing) to report status and concerns.

  • Co-facilitates with the supplier the development of a recovery plan and unplanned demand requirements.

  • Identifies needs for training on business and manufacturing practices (e.g., requirements interpretation and clarification, contractual compliance, scheduling tools, technical skills, self-assessment) to supplier personnel for improvement or enhancement delivery performance.

  • Participates with the procurement agent in on-site supplier assessments (e.g., Preferred Supplier Certification, Proof of Process and Rate Readiness) to identify supplier capacity and capability to perform current and projected work statement and support Boeing procurement strategy.

  • Monitors suppliers' performance-to-plan to ensure compliance to contractual requirements and provides status back to supervisor and procurement agent.

  • Identifies and communicates opportunities to implement new processes or improves existing processes and reports back to management and make recommendation to procurement agent.

  • Assesses supplier resource plan and reports results to agent.

  • Supports work movement as requested by supervision.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a "US Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. "US Person" includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):

  • 3+ years of experience in Supplier Management, Procurement, and/or Supply Chain practices and processes

  • 3+ years of experience developing and maintaining relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, and partners

  • Willing and able to travel 50-75% of the time

  • Willing and able to travel domestically and internationally as needed

  • Must have current valid driver's license

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 3+ years of experience working in Manufacturing Operations or Flight line Operations

  • 3+ years of experience in Root Cause Analysis and Corrective Actions

  • 3+ years of experience managing suppliers/vendors to deliver products and services

  • 3+ years of experience in a role that required Project Management skills

  • Bachelor's degree or higher

Typical Education/ Experience:

Typically, 6 or more years of related work experience or relevant military experience. Advanced degree (e.g. Bachelor, Master, etc.) preferred, but not required.

Relocation:

Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary pay range

  • Massachusetts: $88,400 - $119,600

Summary pay range

  • Vermont: $88,400 - $119,600
