Astrion has an exciting opportunity for a Mid Level Pipefitter to support full life cycle technical support for all types of combatant craft, boats, watercraft, amphibious vessels/vehicles, Patrol Coastal Class ships, specialty craft/vessels, life rafts, inflatable craft, unmanned vessels/vehicles, and associated craft and mission systems to the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Carderock Division’s Combatant Craft Division JOB DETAILS LOCATION: Virginia Beach, VA JOB STATUS: FT TRAVEL: 0% REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS Successful candidates will demonstrate the following Three (3) to Seven (7) years of experience in plumbing and pipefitting acquired through formal apprenticeship or equivalent training and experience.

This includes: Layout Cutting Welding, brazing, soldering Threating pipe with stocks and dies Bending pipe Assembly of various fluid systems including water, gas, or hydraulic fluid Testing finished installations for quality High school Diploma, trade/industrial school graduate, or GED equivalent required.
