Boeing is seeking a Mid-Level AvionX Systems Engineer

  • Model Based Engineering (Level 3) to join our team in either Plano, Texas, St. Louis, Missouri, or Mesa, Arizona to support AvionX product lines.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Test and validate to ensure system designs meet operational and functional requirements

  • DO 178C compliant Avionics embedded system modeling

  • Model-based system engineering activities using Cameo, Matlab/Simulink

  • System/Software requirement development, system design (use cases, sequence diagrams, logical diagrams) System validation
  • Requirements Management in DOORS

  • Test and validate to ensure system designs meet operational and functional requirements

This position allows telecommuting. The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options.

This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a "U.S. Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. 120.15 is required. "U.S. Person" includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry

  • 3+ years of experience in Model Based System Engineering

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Experience with Digital Twin model & System Engineering V Model

  • Degree in Electrical / Electronics / Computer Science Engineering Field of Study

  • Experience in performing architecture, design, integration, and/or testing on avionics sub-systems

  • Model Based Development expertise in Aerospace or Automotive industry

  • Experience with Cameo tool customization via Java/Rhino scripting

  • Experience with reliability and safety analysis

  • Strong written, verbal communication with engineers, management, and non-engineering support staff

  • Ability to work in a virtual / Geo-diverse team environment

  • INCOSE certification on Systems Engineering is an added advantage

Typical Education/Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
