Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Microwave Production Manager who thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. ViewRay is growing at a fast pace and is searching for talented and experienced leaders to help drive our ramp-up and expansion within the Radiotherapy Market. Our product is a revolutionary integration of MRI imaging and linac based radiation therapy to provide the ability to accurately target soft tissue tumors within the human body. Our product has the acknowledged potential to significantly disrupt the $4-5bn market space.

Reporting to the VP, Manufacturing, the Microwave Production Manager will oversee operation of Viewray's Linac production. This is a great opportunity for a proven Manager who is looking for the more dynamic set of strategic and operational challenges. The candidate will have a proven track record of successes leading production teams within a high technology environment, possess a working knowledge of high power microwave devices and manufacturing processes, as well has having the dynamic leadership qualities necessary for success.

Responsibilities

  • Envision a production model and transform the current start up team into a best in class, scalable medical production line, to meet the long term production vision for the organization.

  • Manage day-to-day operations including internal and outsourced operations for assembly and test of high power microwave devices including medical linear accelerators and related components; lead and direct activities of the production team of technicians and engineers, to ensure achievement of production and quality objectives

  • Establish and maintain operational procedures including work instruction documents, process travellers, and procedures for inspection, assembly, test, pack/ship

  • Implement continuous improvement processes to drive performance and yield to established objectives

  • Collaboratively develop and individually implement long term manufacturing plans and strategies

  • Select, qualify and help maintain suppliers for out-sourced processes

  • Ensure compliance to internal Quality System requirements

  • Ensure compliance to all applicable local, state, federal and national codes

Education, Experience, Skills

  • BA/BS in engineering or relevant discipline, or equivalent experience; advanced degree preferred

  • 7+ years experience leading production operations preferably in area of high power microwave tube production (linacs, magnetrons, klystrons, etc.)

  • Knowledgeable and established competency in operations and processes relating to microwave tube production, related components and related subsystems

  • Experienced in the use of benchmarking, metrics and continuous improvement methods (six sigma, lean, etc.) to drive improvements in cost, quality and delivery

  • Proven experience building and leading teams of technicians and engineers strong leadership and organizational skills

  • Knowledge and experience working in a regulated environment, preferably medical/FDA

Responsibilities include implementing and managing the tools, processes and cloud environments to automate our build, test, deploy, and production infrastructure. As our Prod Ops Director, you will lead several teams that support and run our existing platforms while installing automation that will drive operations and development efficiencies. Position Responsibilities: * Own the uptime, reliability, scalability and security of our platforms. * Own the server infrastructure, what we use, where we use it, how much it costs and how we can constantly improve it. * Own the technical support and customer success of our retailer partnerships. * Own the relationships with vendors, hosting providers, CDN's and any other 3rd party services we use to build our infrastructure. * Own monitoring, reporting, and effective filtering of critical events so we notify effectively. Position Qualifications: * BS or higher in Computer Science or similar. * 8+ years' experience with strong leadership and management skills with ability to build highly effective teams. * Security (experience leading, and security operations) * 3-5 years Cloud experience; someone who has experience with infrastructure transitions (moving to cloud-based infrastructure and experience moving from on premise to cloud migration is a plus * Experience working with and supporting software development efforts and production server environments. * Exposure to Cloud server environments such as Amazon Web Services, EC2, OpenStack or Cloud Foundry. * Experience with configuration management solutions such as Chef, Juju, Puppet or similar technologies. * Experience with PaaS and IaaS technologies. * Knowledge and management experience of Hadoop distributions. * Worked with software repository and continuous integration tools such as GitHub and Jenkins. * Operations and scaling of web servers and application servers. * Scripted programming language such as Ruby or Python. * Create and maintain Prod Ops policies and enforce compliance, including security and data privacy. * Understand various technologies and many different platforms including Java, Messaging Systems, Node.js, RDBMS, NoSql etc. * Deep knowledge of automation systems including software deployment and release management processes. * Excellent written and verbal communication skills. * Ability to work in a fast paced, constantly expanding environment. * Experience with documenting procedures. * Able to troubleshoot and resolve internal and customer problems in a timely manner. * Strong communication, interaction and customer service skills with end customers and staff members. * Able to work with architects to implement Prod Ops solutions. * Experience managing global teams Quotient Technology Inc.
