Good understanding of MicroStrategy Components & Tools.
Hands-on development of dynamic dashboards, grids, graphs, scorecards, and statistical reporting utilizing MicroStrategy Release 9+ version software
Proficient in MicroStrategy architecture, dashboard, and report development including objects, filters, prompts and metrics
Document designs, specifications, and flow diagrams to assist in efficient development, support, and problem analysis
Create and enhance report objects, metrics, filters, and prompts
Develop dashboards and reports per specified requirements and timelines
Develop, execute, and document test plans for development activities
Validate reporting results against requirements, and troubleshoot and analyze data issues within reports Support and manage special projects, ad-hoc management reporting requests, testing, and issue resolution
Ensure optimal end-user performance by establishing and consistently executing overall system performance assessment processes and associated action plans
Experience in development and integration including setting up configuration management, developing components, peer review, creating unit test plans, and performing unit testing
Experience with intelligent cube development, custom widget, visualization development and implementation
Understanding of relational databases, strong SQL skills, and experience with data modeling and architecture"

JOB SUMMARY: The role of this position is to be an application developer and administrator for Business Intelligence (BI) Reporting Solutions (Such as Business Objects, MicroStrategy, Qlikview, Tableau, & LongView). He/she will provide technical guidance in the design and maintenance of the BI reporting solutions related to corporate standards. In addition, the position will be a key application engineer II role for the ongoing support, development, and growth of these BI reporting solutions. Application Engineer II provides development, team leadership, and consultative support for a Business Objects deployment of over 200 Universes and thousands of users across all major Lines of Business. GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES: * Create a stable information technology infrastructure by maintaining a consistent release policy; planning, testing, and executing release upgrades with the necessary breadth of participation on the part of development personnel and business users; identifying, reporting, and resolving (with vendor assistance) material bugs and deficiencies in the tools; and setting and achieving SLAs that deliver high levels of availability, reliability, and security. * Leverage existing (and evolving) standards to achieve consistency in the products that IT&S provides and to speed development by adhering to a relatively narrow technology footprint. * Develop BI Reporting architecture, reports, dashboards, guided analytics, and other BI solutions. * Provide assistance in creating product roadmaps for maintaining the currency of and exploiting the features of our BI solutions. * Provide Leadership and Assistance in Administration, development, and maintenance of security provisioning for the supported BI solutions. * Provide Leadership and Assistance in promotions of BI solutions from development, QA, and production environments. * Provide Leadership and Assistance for BI solutions to the rest of the IT&S organization. Provision of the guidance takes a number of forms, including: engaging in joint-development with various application development teams, providing second-level to Customer Service and primary support to the rest of the IT&S organization, documenting and communicating standards and procedures, developing and delivering internal training & certification programs, and assisting problem analysis and resolution. * Develop and Maintain .Net and Java applications to help support the infrastructure. * Providing infrastructure support for all of the Development, QA, and Production application servers, user setup and maintenance for access on multiple database platforms, and universe and query design, construction, implementation, and tuning. * Provide a high degree of technical expertise and make significant contributions to system-wide performance monitoring and tuning, business continuity planning, capacity planning, and software upgrade planning and implementation. * Continue to grow professionally to become the consulting developer in all activities listed above. * Utilize internal and external training opportunities to cross train on other Business Intelligence solutions and database platforms such as MicroStrategy, Tableau, BusinessObjects 4.x, LongView, SQL Reporting Services, Qlikview, SQL Server, Oracle, Teradata, and etc. EXPERIENCE: 3 years of experience is needed for a successful candidate. EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree is required.
