The Georgia Technology Authority (GTA) is currently seeking a Microsoft SharePoint Developer - in the Office of Data Sharing.

The Georgia Technology Authority (GTA) currently manages the delivery of IT infrastructure services to 89 Executive Branch agencies and managed network services to more than 1,200 state and local government entities. IT infrastructure services encompass mainframes, servers, service desk, end user computing, disaster recovery and security. Managed network services include the state's wide and local area networks, voice, cable and wiring, and conferencing services.

JOB SUMMARY:

This position is responsible for designing, developing, and implementing solutions within the myGTA SharePoint platform. Working with SharePoint's various components and features to create customized applications, workflows, and collaboration sites that meet the organization's needs. This position also requires Infopath form development, the creation of SharePoint Designer crafted workflows and interaction with the .NET developers on the team to ensure that the proper solution is paired to each customer request.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Collaborate with stakeholders, including business users and IT teams, to gather requirements, design solutions translating them into solutions within the myGTA SharePoint environment.

  • Project tracking and reporting in support of the SharePoint development efforts

  • Create and customize SharePoint forms using InfoPath or SharePoint Designer

  • Assist Users with the SharePoint solutions created by the developer as well as engage in post-implementation Customer Service

  • Leverage the SharePoint platform to create scalable and efficient solutions for the organization.

  • Ensure adherence to coding standards, security protocols, and performance optimization techniques.

  • Work directly with all levels of staff and management in the customer departments, as well as different disciplines with varying degrees of technical experience.

  • Model service processes, document service architecture, develop software specifications, define testing strategies, devise procedures to solve problems and execute "white box" testing plans.

  • Develop new code in support of in-flight applications or in support of design specifications for applications.

  • Provide the definition, development, or modification of software modules or enterprise-wide software systems. Adhere to shop guidelines and standards for software development/integration.

  • Analyze customers' business requirements and develop proposals for technical solutions that may include using existing technology, developing an application in-house, purchasing vendor software, etc.

CORE COMPETENCIES:

  • Experience in a formal SDLC environment.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft SharePoint development, including SharePoint Online and SharePoint Server.

  • Strong knowledge of SharePoint architecture, features, and components.

  • Experience with SharePoint customization using web parts, master pages, and page layouts.

  • Proficiency in developing SharePoint workflows using SharePoint Designer, Microsoft Flow, or Power Automate.

  • Knowledge of SharePoint development tools and technologies, including CSOM, REST API, and PowerShell scripting.

  • Familiarity with SharePoint administration and configuration.

  • Experience in integrating SharePoint with other systems, such as CRM or ERP platforms.

  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with stakeholders.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.

  • Proficiency in SharePoint technologies is essential. This includes a strong understanding of SharePoint architecture, features, and components. Experience in customizing SharePoint sites, developing web parts, and creating workflows is important.

AGENCY SPECIFIC QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum Qualifications:

Four (4) years of hands-on experience in SharePoint development. This includes experience with SharePoint Online (Office 365) and SharePoint Server (e.g., SharePoint 2019, SharePoint 2016, or SharePoint 2013) with knowledge and experience in designing SharePoint solutions and architectures

OR

Associate's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field with two (2) years of hands-on experience in SharePoint development. This includes experience with SharePoint Online (Office 365) and SharePoint Server (e.g., SharePoint 2019, SharePoint 2016, or SharePoint 2013) with knowledge and experience in designing SharePoint solutions and architectures

Preferred Qualifications:

(Preference will be given to candidates who, demonstrate some or all the following skills/experience):

  • Proficiency in programming languages such as C#, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and SQL

  • Demonstrated expertise and extensive experience in SharePoint development, including advanced customization, complex workflows, and integration with other systems.

  • Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: SharePoint Developer or Microsoft Certified: SharePoint Administrator

  • Familiarity with SharePoint Framework (SPFx)

COMPENSATION/WORKER TYPE/ADDITIONAL DETAILS:

Hiring Salary: *$83,500.00

Worker Type: Hybrid
