JOB SUMMARY: The Microsoft Database Administrator is a member of the Information Technology ERP support team, working with users across the organization, responsible for providing operational and technical support for the Infor/Lawson Systems and accompanying database servers (MS SQL Server). This position will also be responsible for providing support for the Infor/Lawson data warehouse and ancillary applications.

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent education and/or experience. 4+ years' experience with managing MS SQL server version 2012 and latest. 4+ years' experience supporting Microsoft SSIS administration and development. 4+ years' experience supporting Microsoft SSAS administration and development. 4+ years' experience supporting Microsoft SSRS administration and development. 4+ years' experience supporting Microsoft Data Warehouse environment 4+ years' experience supporting Microsoft Business Intelligence. 4+ years' experience supporting various reporting application such as Crystal Reports, BIRST, PowerBI, etc.

  • Possess an understanding of, Enterprise Resource Planning, .NET, OLE, ODBC and IIS Configurations, Windows Server 2012 R2, SAN, Virtual Servers. Working knowledge of building, maintaining and deploying SSIS packages.

    Possess good command of the SQL language, stored procedures and SQL Agent Jobs. Possess an excellent understanding of good relational database design. Ability to write and understand VBA, C#, XML, and PowerShell.

    Strong ability to optimize queries and indexes and troubleshoot other performance issues. Ability to work well with developers to assist them in creating optimal, efficient database structures and queries as needed. Ability to interact with multiple teams in troubleshooting issues.

    Proficiency with MS Office including Word, Excel, MS Project, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Visio Solid understanding of the software implementation process, including requirements, gathering, analysis, tools and technologies, and testing methodologies Technical proficiency in hardware and systems software troubleshooting, as well as experience implementing software applications and working with vendors Ability to blend creativity, problem solving, and technical skills for refining existing theories or developing new system approaches to seize opportunities and sustain business success Ability to present and explain technical information in a way that establishes rapport, persuades others, and gains understanding Ability to operate under a dual reporting relationship (IT, customers) Ability to stay calm during high-pressure situations Good communication skills, oral and written. Responsibilities:
Multiple work assignments including: configuring, testing, documenting, upgrading and implementing systems and/or software Ensuring client requirements are met by actively soliciting, identifying, and responding to customer questions and assisting with issue resolution Working collaboratively and build relationships with customer staff, and third-party consultants They should be comfortable working with highly knowledgeable Lawson end-users and able to quickly understand unique client requirements and configurations.

Infor/Lawson (ERP) Administration: Coordinate applying Lawson/Infor patches with 3rd party vendor. Restart jobs as requested.

Set up recurring batch jobs and setup csv attributes for batch jobs Conduct Dump data out of the database as requested. Determine cause and remedies for batch jobs that error out Administer the Lawson Business Intelligence product (LBI) Monitor the servers and provide troubleshooting assistance as needed Assist with resolution of errors from the monthly recycle of the servers Assist with installing ancillary software used by Lawson/Infor (i.e. Smartoffice, Addins, etc.) Setup, Monitor and Troubleshoot issues with EDI Setup, Monitor and Troubleshoot issues with Lawson Printing Resolve any server log and configuration issues.

Infor/Lawson Security: Add/Remove/Modify users in Lawson Security Administration Grant user access to forms/tables Set up security classes and roles Setup back office access for users in Lawson Security

Infor/Landmark IPA: Resolve issues and restart ProcessFlow Workunits Promote new/modified process flows Setup services and triggers for process flows

MS SQL Server Admin: Provide SQL Server Administration support for Infor/Lawson and Kronos databases Database Backups and Restores Monitor and maintain SQL server database file sizes Resolve database blocking issues and deadlock issues Install MS SQL Server, SSIS, SSAS and SSRS Setup MS SQL Server, SSIS, SSAS and SSRS Apply patches to MS SQL Server Provide SQL Server support for data copy requests Troubleshoot slow performing queries
