Microsoft Azure Cloud Engineer

We are looking for an experienced Azure cloud engineer to work with our cloud competence center to develop, implement, optimize, and maintain global cloud-based solutions. You will be responsible for deploying and debugging global Platform-as-a-Service solutions, developing architecture patterns, educating application teams on new cloud initiatives, and ensuring the security of the cloud platform. We have an emphasis on native Platform-as-a-Service solutions.

To be successful as a cloud engineer, you should be able to identify optimal cloud-based solutions for our internal clients and maintain cloud platforms in accordance with architecture guidelines and company security policies. A top-notch cloud engineer should have hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure Platform-as-a-Service, stay current with industry trends, and should be a team player.

Day to day:

Cloud Engineer Responsibilities:

  • Collaborating with architecture, security and application teams to evaluate and identify optimal cloud solutions.

  • Automating resolutions to common requests for cloud environments.

  • Educating teams on the implementation of new cloud technologies and initiatives.

  • Designing, developing and deploying modular cloud-based solutions.

  • Developing and maintaining cloud solutions in accordance with best practices.

  • Ensuring efficient functioning of data storage and processing functions in accordance with company security policies and best practices in cloud security.

  • Regularly reviewing existing solutions and making recommendations for improvements.

  • Interacting with internal clients, providing cloud support, and making recommendations based on client needs.

Cloud Engineer Requirements:

  • Degree in computer science or a similar field.

  • At least 3 years of experience in the field of Azure cloud.

  • Experience with CI/CD system Azure DevOps.

  • Experience with FinOps.

  • Azure certifications preferred.

  • Troubleshooting and analytical skills.

  • Good communication and collaboration skills.

  • Experience with PowerShell, JSON, BICEP.

  • Experience with Agile way of working (SCRUM).

Essentials:

  • Bachelor's Degree in IT or related field of study and at least 7 years relevant experience.

  • Proven knowledge (certification) and experience on Microsoft Azure Platform

  • Knowledge and experience with CI/CD using Azure DevOps

  • Knowledge and experience with PowerShell, JSON (arm) and XML

  • Service oriented mindset

  • Experience with working in an agile SCRUM team

  • Good networking skills to work and communicate with different departments and people.

  • Fluent in English (speaking and writing), preferably also Dutch.

Applicable Pay Range

$100.884,90 - $151.327,36

This position is subject to the terms of DLL's compensation plans and policies. It is anticipated that the position will pay within the applicable pay range. The range is reflective of the desired primary physical work location and may be adjusted outside of the projected range based on geographical differentiation if the actual work location of the hired candidate differs from the desired primary location, or for other lawful reasons. Further, the position includes all other benefits provided to DLL employees, including healthcare benefits, 401k matching, vacation, sick leave, parental leave, possible discretionary bonuses, and all other benefits that are all governed by and subject to ERISA plan documents and eligibility.
