The DIT Enterprise Collaboration Services Team offers Microsoft 365 Services which include Email, Email Archiving, Mailman and related services to North Carolina state and local governments, with our core clientele being state Executive Branch agencies.
The Microsoft 365 Engineering Supervisor is responsible for designing, implementing, adoption, enablement, and providing advanced support for the services deployed on Microsoft 365 platforms by DIT.
Duties include, but are not limited, to:
Serve as a lead Subject Matter Expert (SME) and product specialist for the Microsoft 365 service within DIT and other Executive agencies
Leading and mentoring the Microsoft 365 Tier 2 Engineering Team by encouraging a consistently high level of customer service and support of the Microsoft 365 Suite of services
Ensuring robust and scalable configurations of core Microsoft Services such as SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams, and Exchange Online
Serving as a technical mentor to all DIT groups participating in the support of the Microsoft 365 Suite of services
Driving timely delivery and resolution of customer requests and incidents to meet all defined Service and Operating Level Agreement
Organizing enablement, training, and adoption campaigns for Microsoft 365 services

To qualify for this position, applicants must document on the application that they possess ALL of the following:
Experience leading and mentoring the Microsoft 365 Engineering Team
Demonstrated experience in service delivery, enablement, change management, and driving adoption of Microsoft 365 services
Demonstrated experience with managing, troubleshooting, and supporting Microsoft 365 services
Demonstrated experience in organizing enablement, training, and adoption campaigns for Microsoft 365 services
Experience communicating simple or complex issues to both technical and non-technical audiences with all levels of personnel, both verbally and in writing
The following Management Preferences are not required, but applicants that possess these skills are preferred:
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft technologies; Exchange, Power Automate, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive
Deep understanding of SharePoint governance, security, and compliance
Experience leading user migration across O365 Tenants
Functional knowledge of Azure and Identity management systems

Bachelor's degree in computer science or an IT related field or related technical degree from an appropriately accredited institution and four years of progressive experience in business application consulting or development
OR
Associate degree in computer science or an IT related field or related technical degree from an appropriately accredited institution and five years of progressive experience in business application consulting or development
OR
High School or General Education Development (GED) diploma and eight years of experience in business application consulting or development; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
