JourneyTeam is looking for a Microsoft 365 Administrator for our Modern Work and Security team. In our organization, the title of this role will be a Senior Solution Specialist and will play a leadership role in the design, development, and maintenance of client solutions. This individual will lead and work closely with junior team members to perform security assessments and improve Microsoft systems and processes. The ideal team member is an eager learner with a deep and analytical understanding in one or more of the following: Microsoft Identity and Access Management, Security & Compliance, Device management (Intune), Exchange, Content Management, Teams/SharePoint/OneDrive, Power Platform, Business Analysis and Change Management. They have strong troubleshooting and business analysis skills with an interest in growing and expanding their knowledge in Microsoft Modern Work and Security technology stack. Has a passion for mentoring and training others within the team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, implement, troubleshoot, and support client's technology needs within Microsoft 365: Identity and Access Management, Security & Compliance, Exchange, Business Analysis and Change Management.

  • Participate in team meetings, trainings, and knowledge sharing sessions to develop skills and expertise.

  • Lead Modern Work and Security projects, providing technical guidance and oversight to ensure successful project execution and delivery.

  • Implement Microsoft technologies with a Zero Trust Architecture methodology.

  • Work with Project Managers to develop project plans, milestones, tasks related to client projects.

  • Manage tasks and backlogs for projects that you are on.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams.

  • Development and maintenance of technical documentation; including, but not limited to, user guides, technical specifications, support documents, and technical diagrams.

  • Evaluate and recommend new tools, technologies, and best practices to support the organization's evolving Modern Work & Security needs.

  • Mentor and guide other team members.

  • Stay current on industry trends and best practices in Modern Work & Security.

Qualifications:

  • Microsoft Administration Experience, experience with modern management practices, proficient experience with PowerShell and/or Microsoft Graph.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Identity and Access Management, Microsoft Defender solutions, Purview, and Exchange Online.

  • Strong leadership and project management skills, with the ability to oversee multiple successful projects and team members simultaneously.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work multiple problems at once.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively within a team environment and with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Detail oriented and organized, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines.

  • Strong desire to learn and grow in the Modern Work & Security areas of focus.

  • Microsoft 365 certifications such as Microsoft 365 Fundamentals and Microsoft 365 Administrator Expert, preferred.

    30-60-90 Day Success Plan:

30-Day Plan:

  • Learn the JourneyTeam way -- internal processes and project delivery methodology. Learn and understand the various systems used for time tracking, task management, and collaboration.

  • Assigned to 2-3 projects as a technical resource.

  • 50% of time spent on client projects.

60-Day Plan:

  • Assigned to 3-5 projects as a technical resource.

  • 65% of time spent on client projects.

  • Start to lead discussions on client working sessions.

90-Day Plan:

  • Assigned to 5 projects minimum as a technical resource.

  • Identify projects to be assigned as a project lead.

  • 75% - 80% of time spent on client projects.

  • Assigned to Zero Trust Architecture project (long-term strategic engagement).
