Microbiology Supervisor/Lead

Hiring a Microbiology Supervisor/Lead for a great lab in Rancho Cordova, CA. Must have at least 1-2 years of prior leadership or supervisor experience along with a degree in ,icrobiology or related field. Great culture and environment and long term growth within company!

Schedule: 4 days at 9 hours and 1 day at 4 hours (weekend day).

Job Description

• Supervisor position is a hands-on working position and performs analyses as needed.

• Reviews data and reports within the Department prior to release to QA/QC for accuracy.

• Oversees Proficiency Testing (PT) studies

• Responds in a timely fashion to "Corrective Action" requests.

• Responsible for Department safety, cleanliness, and orderliness.

• Responsible for administering required company policy and procedures.

• Responsible for subordinate performance, and overtime.

• Maintains confidentiality of employee and company information.

Qualifications

• BS/BA degree in microbiology or related science or equivalent

• Must have a minimum of 2-3 years demonstrated experience in leadership, training, and supervising other team members.

• Must have excellent analytical skills, sophisticated analysis experience, strong organizational, communication and interpersonal skills necessary to effectively manager others.

• Must be familiar with all Lab Certification and Accreditation requirements for performance at the department level
