Job Description

The Medallion Lab Technician, as a part of Medallion Laboratory, has accountability to analyze and support all analytical testing needs on a daily basis. This position requires the ability to take direction, and at times work autonomously, to support the daily needs within the Medallion operation. This is a full-time, onsite position with standard hours between 7-3 or 8-4, Monday to Friday, with possible occasional weekend work.

Responsibilities include:

• Facilitate analytical testing for Medallion.
• Provide support and flexibility related to the analysis of samples for Medallion Labs.
• Document results and review data.
• Investigate any technical discrepancies on a timely basis.
• Develop a strong knowledge of the analytical methods being used to analyze samples.

Qualifications:

• 1-3 Years of Experience. Bachelor's degree in Microbiology, Food Science, Biology or related field. Microbiology experience preferred.
• Knowledge of microbiological plating techniques.
• Basic lab skills including aseptic technique, pipetting, and serial dilutions
• Knowledge of laboratory quality systems, statistics, and document control. ISO 17025 experience preferred.
• Ability to manually calculate analytical test results.
• Demonstrated ability to work and communicate with people from technical, production, and other backgrounds.
• Knowledge of analytical instrumentation including PCR methods.

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Plymouth, Minnesota.

Work Environment

This role is in a lab-based environment where you will stand for long periods of time. Holiday pay is included!
