Under the general direction of the Chief Strategy Officer, provides strategic and tactical support to achieve the goals of Mountain Health Network and its designated clinical service lines or business unit(s). This is achieved through analysis of current markets, regional and state trends and opportunities, development of comprehensive marketing plans and implementation of strategic and tactical objectives. The Director of Strategic Marketing utilizes market analysis and understanding of sound marketing principles.
Partners with service-line directors and other leaders to ensure alignment of system and service line goals and priorities in the development and implementation of marketing plans.
Utilizes market intelligence to guide analysis of competitive and industry trends as related to service lines.
Identifies key customers on a national, regional and/or local basis and their needs; develops products that meet those needs.
Creates and implements plans and programs to reach key markets via advertising, direct marketing, electronic media/web site, social media, collateral materials, product/service promotions and public relations events. Writes and edits key messages to support plans and initiatives. Participates in the graphic design and branding process.
Serves as corporate point of contact for physician marketing: liaison to medical affairs and physician practices.
Participates in advertising budget process.
Utilizes primary and secondary market research to guide recommendations.
Develops and maintains MHN websites.

Bachelor's degree in marketing, business administration, healthcare administration or related field is required.
However, 10 years or more of health care marketing management experience will be considered. Master's degree preferred.
Understanding of healthcare marketing resources and market intelligence and ability to apply this information in the development, implementation, measurement and documentation of outcomes of marketing programs. Must have a strong track record in integrating marketing, communications, and branding in marketing plans. Strong financial, analytical and communication skills.
Highly motivated with a proven success in tackling multiple complex projects, recommending creative solutions, and building relationships with clients and team members.
Demonstrated competency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), email and web tools.
This position may be called upon to serve with the Incident Command team in the event of an emergency or crisis. This position may also be called upon to assist or provide relief to the media relations manager.
Perform other duties as assigned by leader.
Must have a valid driver's license and personal transportation (automobile) in good working condition.
