HOW YOU'LL MAKE AN IMPACT

Your Role:

• Is responsible for quality measure outcomes and coordinating/overseeing associated improvement efforts.

• Supervises RN/Improvement Advisors and RN/Clinical Documentation Specs directly.

• Prioritizes (but not limited to) Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) publicly reported measures.

• Improvement efforts include (but are not limited to) chart reviews, root cause analyses, clinical documentation improvement (CDI) coordination, coding and patient access, care pathway development, and new process implementation coordination.

• Liaises between medical staff members, leading quality measure development and tracking for medical staff group contracts; collaborates with the physician advisor (Physician/EC [Emergency Center] (JC: 001901).

• Displays an understanding of diversity.

• Enhances and contributes to a safe environment for all colleagues, visitors, and patients.

• Performs miscellaneous duties not expressly described herein.

• RN [Registered Nurse]/Director/Quality-Safety (job code (JC): 019701)

Supervises:

• RN/Improvement Advisor (JC: 035503)
• RN/Clinical Documentation Spec (JC: 036203)

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO APPLY

Required Education:

• Bachelor's degree in nursing.

Preferred Education:

• Master's degree in nursing.

Required Experience:

• Five (5) years of experience in clinical nursing, health information management (HIM), or other clinical/hospital specialty (including three (3) years of performance monitoring, quality improvement, and/or program evaluation experience in a health care organization).

Preferred Experience:

• Performance improvement (PI) tools and techniques training/education.

• Specialized CDI and/or coding and regulatory management training.

• Team leader, facilitator, and/or team builder training/education.

• Strong interpersonal skills.

• Strong leadership skills.

• Strong and oral and written communication skills.

• Proficient Microsoft Office skills.

• Intermediate spreadsheets skills.

• Intermediate applied analysis skills.

• Ability to communicate information/knowledge to hospital and medical staff members effectively.

Required Certification/License/Registry:

• Licensed as an RN in accordance with Florida Statutes, Title XXXII (Regulation of Professions and Occupations), Chapter 464 (Nursing), Part I (Nursing Practice Act).

Preferred Certification/License/Registry:

• Certified Clinical Documentation Specialist (CCDS) credential from the Association of Clinical Documentation Integrity Specialists (ACDIS).
