Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems has an opening for a Manager Tool Die Making 1 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Palmdale, CA.

The selected candidate will supervise employees involved in the assembly of tool boxes, maintenance of tool boxes, minor tool repair and maintain tool box compliance along with other duties.

Essential Functions:

  • Manages personnel that supports 4-5 programs both on and off site.

  • Follow FOE/FOD procedures and policies. Coordinate delivery of calibration tools to and from calibration lab

  • Coordinate with Manufacturing Process Engineering in the assembly and delivery of Kit Change Notices.

  • Managing ordering and status of replacement and repair tools to support customer need.

  • Coordinate with onsite supplier for delivery of perishables and consumables to customer.

The selected candidate should thrive in a fast-paced work environment with high expectations, significantly diverse assignments, collaborative/team settings across all levels.

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma / G.E.D. and 6 years of experience in a manufacturing or maintenance environment OR Associates Degree and 2 years of experience in a manufacturing or maintenance environment.

  • Leadership experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • An active in-scope DoD Secret Clearance

  • Bachelor's Degree STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and or Math)

  • Experience with the daily operations of a production support organization, Foreign Object Elimination, Calibration and OIE budgets

  • Excellent 2-way communication skills (upward and downward)

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and the ability to interface with all levels of employees and management
