The Algorithm & Simulation (A&S) Directorate is responsible for algorithm development including radio-frequency (RF) and electro-optical/infrared (EO-IR) Signal Processing; Guidance, Navigation, and Control; and missile-and-sensor-level Modeling and Simulation for RMD's broad portfolio of projects, programs and products. The MSA teams within the A&S Directorate provide, develop, and maintain high fidelity performance simulations (including multiple sensor channels, scene generation capability, control hardware, physical environment, and embedded software), execute system performance analysis (including pre-flight prediction, post flight matching, and verification and validation), support new business initiatives and develop & execute technology roadmaps. Our portfolio includes surface Navy, undersea Navy, missile defense sensors, interceptors, command and control, integrated air and missile defense systems and space surveillance systems.

The Manager II Systems Engineering will work with a team of engineers and analysts on the system architecting, development, test and integration of a suite of MDA sensor models (e.g. AN/TPY-2, SBX, Cobra Dane, and UEWR) used for element and system level analysis and verification and validation.

Job Description:

The Manager II Systems Engineering will have a technical role on a program in addition to performing the day-to-day leadership of a group of multi-disciplinary engineers, with the primary responsibility of ensuring that each employee has suitable work assignments and opportunities for growth and advancement. Leadership duties include performance development and appraisal, salary planning, manpower planning, career coaching, and ensuring adherence to company policies. Candidates will contribute to the technical oversight of employees, monitor program execution, and provide subject matter expertise in direct support of program efforts and proposal activities. The Manager II will be part of the Sensors Modelling and Simulation Leadership team within the Algorithm and Simulation directorate.

Required Skills:

  • 8+ years of experience in system/software engineering Subject Matter Expertise in one or more of the following radar systems (AN/TPY-2, SBX, Cobra Dane, UEWR)

  • Ability and strong desire to facilitate career growth and knowledge transfer

  • Experience in empowering employees, leading and motivating teams, fostering collaboration

  • Ability to manage multiple, competing priorities

  • Strong communication, interpersonal and decision making skills

  • Bachelor of Science in an Engineering discipline, Computer Science, Math, or Physics

  • Active Secret Level DoD Clearance

Desired Skills:

  • Prior experience in a functional or leadership role

  • Proven track record of effectively interacting with subordinates, customers and other organizations and disciplines

  • Ability to implement strategic goals established by functional leadership across the organization

  • Master's/PhD Degree in an Engineering discipline, Computer Science, Math or Physics

Required Education (including Major):

  • Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Science, or Mathematics area

JOB SUMMARY Provide a high level of technical support to the Facilities department personnel by performing necessary assessments, inspection and analytical analysis of various Facilities site maintenance and new construction projects. Directly support Facilities Engineering and Management with coordination of design and construction of building mechanical and electrical services, project management and facilities improvement, etc. as related to building /engineering works. Provide sites with professional support on all project development, design and build, building fit-out, scheduling, budget, quality and EHS matters and forecasted operational improvements. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES * Work on Facilities related work following instructions given by the site Facilities leadership * Assist in Planning, Organizing and Leading the Facilities related construction activities. * Perform the duties of liaison between construction contractors and the Facilities Department to professionally manage contractors, vendors and suppliers to include but not limited to sourcing, vendor selection, controls on schedule, cost, quality and EHS matters. * Assist the Facilities Department in handling departmental routine work, communicating with others inside and outside of the company and coordinate and manage facilities related engineering/ project works. * Establish clear and measurable goals and objectives by which to determine project progress and key success indicators. * Assess, audit, evaluate, develop and implement works required for efficiencies improvement, energies consumption reduction and cost savings. * Support the Facilities department responsibilities during Quality Audits * Provide clear and precise communications for the exchange of ideas and information within the Facilities Department. * Comply and follow all procedures within the company security and EH&S Safety policies. * Adhere to all safety and health rules and regulations associated with this position and as directed by supervisor. * Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
