Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is seeking a Systems Engineering Manager S02. This position is located in San Jose, CA.
The Systems Engineering Manager S02 is a dual-hat manager responsible for both section management (up to 20% of the time) and existing program responsibilities (80% or more of the time). Along with reporting into a program, the Section Manager is also a member of the NorCal Systems Engineering functional management organization.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Perform resource planning and staffing; staff development, including skills training and career support; performance management, including employee goal setting, annual reviews, and issues resolution
Ensure the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints
Perform functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.

Bachelor's Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline from an accredited university and 10 years of relevant work experience; or a Master's Degree in STEM and 8 years of relevant work experience; or a PhD in STEM and 4 years of relevant work experience.
US Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense (DoD) Top Secret/SCI Clearance.
Airborne SIGINT experience.
Proven experience with supervision and leadership of a diverse group of engineers
Master's degree in a STEM discipline.
Experience in System Engineering in manned or unmanned airborne RF sensors and/or signal processing systems
Experience with planning and program performance addressing cost, schedule, technical performance, and quality of a work package, subsystem, or related group of work packages on a large system development-type contract
Experience with Model Based systems engineering
Basic understanding of Earned Value Management System (EVMS)
