Pacific Dental Services seeks a motivated and results-oriented Risk Manager to oversee day-to-day operations related to property and casualty insurance, permits, business tax and licensing, and general safety. This key role collaborates with various internal departments to ensure compliance and mitigate risk across all locations. You will manage under the Director of Risk & Financial Compliance and lead a team of three risk coordinators.
The job responsibilities listed below are representative, but not all-inclusive.
Responsibilities
Manage all property and casualty insurance, including the following:
All aspects of P&C insurance renewal.
Process P&C related claims and create quarterly claim reports.
Captive insurance
Handling of all certificates of insurance requests.
Manage and update the following monthly and/or quarterly reports:
Monthly turnover roster for new and departed dentists and doctors related to malpractice insurance.
Monthly workers' compensation location and ownership reporting.
Monthly statement of values reporting for all offices.
Prepare and submit worker's compensation reporting for both regular and monopolistic states.
Review third-party contracts for insurance requirements and coverage limits.
Oversee the administration of the risk management information system (RMIS - Origami) for reporting, tracking claims and policies, and updating and a point of contact for other internal departments.
Attend new office development meetings to ensure all insurance coverage of new locations.
Participate in workers' compensation claims review and provide summary documentation to the Director of Risk for settlement authority.
Oversee the company vehicle fleet program, including geotracking, maintenance, driver onboarding/offboarding, and auto claims. (Knowledge of TripLog and GeoTab systems a plus)
Ensure timely completion of county and city business tax filings, permits, and licensing.
Oversee the labor law poster program and Hepatitis B vaccination program.
Assist with managing initial safety training documentation for new team members.
Lead and manage a team of three risk coordinators.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Risk Management, or related field.
Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a similar role.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficient in MS Office Suite.
