Plans, organizes, and supervises programs to provide comprehensive patient care and services. Responsiblefor the overall operations of the program. Works with staff to develop systems and procedures necessary foroperations. Provides training, information, and support required to solve problems and accomplish the goalsand objectives of the program.
Bachelor's degree in specialized rehabilitation area from an accredited program in rehabilitation therapy. Master's or Doctorate degree preferred.
5 years related experience in a rehabilitation or healthcare setting; management or supervisory experience. Inpatient Rehab experience preferred. Prefer someone who has supervised multi-disciplines (PT, OT, Speech).
License and registration in rehabilitation discipline as required.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Working knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet software applications. Verbal and writtencommunication skills.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Assists in business design and development. Develops and ensures implementation of clinical programs that are cost effective and value added.
Develops and recommends department operating budget and ensures that department operates within budget.
Develops department goals, objectives, policies, and procedures. Ensures compliance with hospital/facility policies and procedures and governmental and accreditation regulations.
Initiates ideas, intervention or procedures which reduce costs and streamline operations while improving quality. Anticipates and works to prevent problems.
Maintains associate records and supervises the maintenance of other departmental documents.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Provides effective/efficient services and manages established resources to optimize services and program goals.
Selects, trains, orients, and assigns department staff. Develops standards of performance, evaluates performance, and conducts performance management planning. Initiates or makes recommendations for personnel actions. Maintains ongoing communication with subordinates to review programs, provide feedback, discuss new developments, and exchange information.
