Job Description:


Manages the activities of the Provider Relations Department.

Overseas the maintenance of working relationships with the existing network, and assists in the recruitment of new providers.

Develops processes to collect and maintain accurate and current provider databases relating to provider facilities and physician information. Assists in the development of policies and procedures.

Develops and implements training programs and educational materials for providers as well as internal staff.

Fundamental Components:

Provides direction to operations regarding policy and procedures related to claims/providers.

Manages a team of Provider Relations Representatives who ensure the provider data entered into the provider database is accurate and the provider documentation is complete and accurate.

Facilitates Provider Advisory Group meetings and works with management to implement suggested changes.

Works with Quality Management to develop appropriate provider measures and implement those measures in the provider community.

Develops provider communications including provider newsletters.

Develops and implements provider satisfaction surveys and uses results to manage relationships and educate staff.

Provides service to providers by resolving problems and advising providers of new protocols, policies, and procedures.

Negotiates, reviews, and prepares draft agreements with alternative delivery system facilities, laboratories, and group practices.

Manages the development and monitoring of provider contracts.

Resolves administrative problems affecting network providers, patients, and Plans within contracted guidelines.

Researches and coordinates the resolution of providers claims and capitation issues.

Coordinates provider status information with member services and other internal departments.

Recruits, develops, and motivates staff. Initiates and communicates a variety of personnel actions including, employment, termination, performance reviews, salary reviews, and disciplinary actions.

Performs other related duties as required.

5+ years recent and related experience in benefits interpretation and provider networking.
5+ years recent and related management/supervisory experience with exempt level staff.

Knowledge of ICD-9 and CPT codes desired.

Excellent analytical and problem solving skills

Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.


The highest level of education desired for candidates in this position is a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

VIEW JOBS 3/12/2019 12:00:00 AM 2019-06-10T00:00 POSITION PURPOSE Assistant Store Managers in Training are learning the various responsibilities and functions of the following roles: Assistant Store Manager, Operations Assistant Store Manager, Night Operations Assistant Store Manager, and Specialty Assistant Store Manager. At a high level, ASM s in Training will learn how to support the Store Manager in developing strategies and objectives toward driving store sales and profitability. They will learn how to accomplish these objectives through effective leadership of and communication to their Associates. MAJOR TASKS, RESPONSIBILITES AND KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES General Customer Service Initiatives to include supervising Associates in the selling effort, ensuring the store s in-stock position, and maintaining an appealing and organized store appearance. ASM s in Training will learn the following tactics to support this key accountability: staffing and scheduling, identifying and resolving stock deficiencies, supervisor associates in selling behaviors, resolving customer issues and concerns, and supporting service needs for both installed sales/special orders and product sales. Supervising Store Associates to include interviewing, hiring, motivating, coaching, training,developing, and communicating to associates. ASM s in Training will also learn the performance management process, to include semi-annual review of associate performance and how to execute the associate disciplinary process when necessary. Operations Management to include supervision of front end processes involving sales and return transactions, as well as special services and lot support. ASM s in Training will also learn how to oversee the back end processes, including receiving and freight teams to ensure that merchandise is received and stocked appropriately. They will also learn how to maintain and operate all store equipment and systems as well as how to manage daily financial operations. ASM s in Training should develop a command of store standard operating procedures (SOP s), especially those involving Safety compliance. Business Analysis and Merchandise Planning Initiatives to include driving department profitability through analysis of sales trends. ASM s in Training will learn how to work with key partners (Store Managers, Field Merchandising, MET Teams) to plan merchandise placement and signing. They will also learn how to support stock integrity through inventory management processes. NATURE AND SCOPE ASM s in Training will report to a Store Manager. Once complete with their training process, they will gradually assume accountability supervision of work activities of associates. ENVIRONMENTAL JOB REQUIREMENTS Environment: Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable. Travel: Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Must be eighteen years of age or older. Must be legally permitted to work in the United States. Additional Minimum Qualifications: Education Required: The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a high school diplomas and/or GED. Years of Relevant Work Experience: 3 years Physical Requirements: Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.
